TTF's are just that!!!

I hear we lost a lot of TTF's to "The Whizzard won oh won".

I also realize it's the summer and lots of players are busy with other activities away from their keyboards and monitors enjoying their summer.

But, B-But, in just a little over a year I have seen TTF's runs go from two elevators full with a couple left over hanging around the gag shop to, twosies, threesies, foursies, fivesies, etc...

Maybe this has made the TTF's stronger by completing the runs with short elevator groups. If it were possible to gather the data the numbers would be staggering at the TTF's short group success rate.

I too can see that the promotion levels for the TTF's have reached "gazillion proportions". It takes days maybe a week for some Toons to get their promotions.

However, when TTF's dress-up and show-up for a full elevator run on a Headquarters we really have a great time playing ToonTown together. It's like the atmosphere among the Toons changes and everyone is more relaxed. The chatting, picking and joking among the different Toons becomes very comical. There's nothing better in ToonTown than working your gags, completing task, working on promotions or making Headquater Runs with any member or any group of TTF's members.

Thanks for being our Toon Town Friends!!!

Well I have been horrible about going to the runs lately. Partly due to that dreadful boss place that keeps me occupied, partly due to not that many old friends going anymore, and partly from running in different groups. But TTF helped so many of my toons get promotions and without finding this place I would have not met some of the most wonderful people in RL and on TT. I am almost done with my set of five billion boss thingies and will make a better effort to make it out to some of the runs. It's sad to see them dwindle as this was the first organized group that I did boss battles with. Thank you for your kind post. Smile

Nice post Smile.

TTF has definitely changed over the years. I remember when we first started doing runs . . . The toons that showed up were, IMO, some of TTs best. I wasn't too comfortable in short loads back then (we only had VP & CFO), but with these guys I knew I'd be ok. Many of them have moved on to WoW or other games Evil or Very Mad, many are still around TT but have dropped off TTF Crying or Very sad . I went from having almost my entire friends list full of TTFers to only seeing green names on the porch. But one thing hasn't changed over the years, TTFers are the nicest bunch of toons in TT Cool. We don't always have the smoothest most efficient battles, but it's always fun and there's never any whiney posts - even when someone doesn't make it.

I was really pushing last week on finish up boss on Ricky, but now that I'm done (other than that final battle), I'll be trying to make more of the runs. The toons I am working on now (Pinky & Pipsqueak) are still little suits so it doesn't take much to get their thingies.

This seems like a good place to comment that I was really impressed with the improvement I saw at the last TTF CJ I went to. I heard lots of evidence being thrown at toons, everyone was looking out for each other and not a single unite was needed - woot!

Real life has had a way of creeping in on my gaming time. Ole Doc Goopy gets dusted off every once in a while and brought out of the closet. I for the longest, became a sort of Test Hermit. Then after the Boss HQ craze ended on test, I shelfed Lucentio to grow another of my old toons, Super Stinky Sniffletoes. I haven't made the runs much, but have fond dear memories of the "glory days" when TTFers were everywhere. I have not removed anyone from ole Doc's list in so long it'd probably take glue and ink solvent to get the names off. One day maybe, the time will be there for me to run the toons as often as I'd like.

I will at this time quote an eloquent cat which quoted a red knot-headed dog the other day... "TTFers ARE the best." For me that goes for members, Moderators, and our site host Doc Skids. None of the toons I drive would be half what they are without your input, counsel, training, patience, etc.

I love TTF's runs. They've helped 2 of my toons out tremendusly! But real life and school has just taken over. I hope my January to be doing runs again, but don't look to be seeing me before that point. HS is starting next month so I'll be very busy. So yeah, you guys are great, don't forget totally about me, lol.
