The Fishing Plan
View Single PostView Single Post

Hello my name is Matt. I love to fish, and I have maxed 12 toons in fishing. I have developed a plan that I follow when I fish my toons. I have had some people ask how I do it. Attached to this post is a link to a PDF document with my Fishing Plan.

Good Luck,
Matt

Hi Matt! It's ok to have this problem. You've already taken the first step by admitting too it.

Perhaps one day I shall try and max one toon in fishing. Thanks for posting your strategy! Very Happy

So Matt, thanks so much first of all, I printed out your guide. Do you feel that getting the max out of your fishing time is by fishing a lot and in order? I keep wondering how they have the game programmed. Will the fifthe cast of the day get a devil ray? And will only one rare fish be caught in each district per day? Does it help to move from district to district? You are quite the fisherman. It can get boring so easily since some days I do not catch any new species.

I will give your plan a try.

I do believe that fishing a lot is very important. I don't really believe fishing in order matters. This is just my plan and it is a plan to get all the fish with the least amount of running around. I don't believe the rod matters, I don't believe the order matters, nor do I believe if you fish with one eye closed increasing your chances, LOL. I think you can catch more than one ultra per district per day. I did get 2 devil ray in 2 buckets yesterday. I don't believe that district matters. I do move from district to district when I get bored and have had some luck with that, but I also have gotten many of my ultras between the 70th and 120th bucket in the same place. Hehe, I think I have answered most of your questions.

Key points. Fish alot, fish often, and keep the rod in the water. Good Luck.

Matt

P.S. I am going creating a new toon and will be testing a new theory of mine. Pretty much going to not follow my plan to an extreme. His name will be Horse Power and you can look for him on top toons in about 3 months, when I have his gold rod in hand.

Thanks Matt. Sounds like I just need to fish more. So many things to do in Toontown. Right now I am decorating my estates. I started out playing by purchasing any thing in the cattle log that I liked. Now my house is a hodge podge. So I am trying to pick a theme for my remaining toons.

Thanks Matt for the guide. I have caught four fish while following your guide and now have 65. I now seem to be at a standstill trying to catch Full moon ,Grand piano tuna, Baby grand and grizzly bear acuda and of course Concord PB& J Fish. I do get tired fishing and then I play some golf since nobody seems to go to our runs anymore Sad

Well Matt, I am off and running. I took two toons fishing and one finished TT Central and Donald's Dock. Woo hoo! That was nice...do not have to go there and fish again. The other toon still needs the Circus Clown Fish and got tired of trying so will go back another day. I think that was good progress for one day.

Thanks, Matt. I am going to work on my fishing uber a little bit more now. I was stuck on Concord and Devil with the twig. But, if you say not to worry and get the next rod, I will do that. It will be fun to catch new species again.

If you are fishing a uber I would suggest sticking with the twig a bit longer. Although that didn't work for me. My fishing uber was at 80,000 fish and still didn't catch the Concord so I switched to the next rod.

Good Luck,
Matt

It's amazing that after all these years we still aren't entirely sure how the fishing system in Toontown works.

Congratulations on a dozen fishertoons, MWH!
