Hi Hthr! lol yes I have gone CCG with only one toon. You have been there when I have done it lmao!!!! I didn't always run two u know. And I have no intention of bringing two toons to a CCG run again as previously stated. And I have NOOOOO idea what you mean by "griefing".

LOL, I didn't mean have you gone on a ccg run with only one toon. What I meant was, have you tried a boss battle with ONLY you and yourself. A 2 toon/1 operator battle. I was just curious, or maybe provoking . . .

Hi Dr Skids!

I disagree that it takes 8 toons with 100% attn to defeat the CFO. I guess it depends on who the toons r but I myself and many others including chocholic have done 4 man CFO's on a reg basis or 6 or 7 even I have sf's that have done 2 man CFO's though I have not myself. And for the record YES I took two toons in CCG runs (VP and CFO) many times. And when a toon (sf) brought to my attn that ppl where having a prob with my two toon run while in CCG I joined this site, read all the comments and then posted, and I quote " I have no intention of taking my toons on a CFO or VP CCG run." I did not at any time say that because of ppl's differing opinions that I would not be going on CCG runs. I just simply stated, very clearly that I would not be going on any more CCG runs. Does that help? In referring to the situation being handled badly I meant the comments directly after the CFO and then in the very first posts.

I have done small load CFO's too. They are easy. These aren't the ones being discussed here, nor do they pertain to this discussion. I as well as many others are stating that, YES at times the CFO can be harder, and with the CCG we get many newer to boss battle toons, and they aren't as experienced which means at times the others need to pick up the slack.

I disagree with your statement of "nor do they pertain to this discussion". You stated " that there r times in any run to the CFO, random or otherwise that a team of 8 toons with 100% attn is required to win" I brought up the small cfo runs to illustrate that I have personal knowledge of it taking less than 8 etc. I know they that r not the ones being discussed here (FREE speech though right?) and maybe if I were more familiar with you I would know what you meant but as it stands all I can go by is what you write.

I believe we all here on this wonderful site know that it doesnt take 8 to beat the CFO. As a matter of fact, those that joined this site early on were sort of initiated by TTFers having a 4 man CFO party. This later turned into 4 man Uber CFO's.

Trust me. 4 man CFO's are no big deal. Neither are 4 toon/2 operator CFO's.

Our main focus on this topic is the CCG CFO runs. We'd love to have you attend, however, we all know CCG is not for everyone. The choice is yours.

Have fun!

Yep and Nunya himself has done the entire crane battle solo. You will find most on this site are very familiar with 5 man and less boss battles, as well as many running 2, 3 and even 4 toons at a time. You are speaking to an experienced group of toons. But we want a discussion on how to handle this in CCG runs as that is what the OP is about.

Hi Sallyanne!

Sorry I couldn't get back to this sooner.

I'm afraid you misread my posts just a bit in that I was not putting words in your mouth, but giving my opinion based on things you said PLUS the situation in general. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding! Smile

Again, my opinion stands, and again, it applies only to CCG runs. Hope that clears things up! Smile

Great discussion, everyone! Thanks for bringing it up!

Hey hey hey .... how yall doing?
sallyannslewfoot I feel you are taking this really personal.... girl please dont feel that way please!
We are wanting to talk about this and I think we are all doing a great job expressing how we feel with a toon fighting the
boss using two toons.

Please understand that majority of us here have been playing for a great deal of time and many of us here have 2 accounts.
We also get a great deal of satisfaction in helping young new toons make it thru boss battles that is wny we are CCG members!

In the case of running two toons in boss battles .... I believe that this should be done among friends that are aware what is going on.
If running with CCG one toon is all that should be going in .... as the reason has been brought up several times giving all of your attention to one
toon is very important in winning a battle. Also as it was brought up here when you are with CCG you are with newer players and they
need to see a good example of playing together .... the newer player will not understand what is going on and this will really throw a game off.

CCG is not the type of group that likes to set rules ... What CCG wants is to have helping toons that are there to understand and help one another
with that said .... I believe the majority of toons here feel that CCG is not the place for running two toons in boss battle. Now we can not
put this in writing and this doesnt mean it isnt gonna happen but if with this thread it can help to educate others on how the majority feels then that
is really cool.

Nunya and I have done a few of these 4 man cfos with us running 2 toons and Geeeeey WHeeeezy that sheet is fun!
It is also very dangerous and not an easy win that is for sure~!

Woooo Hooooooooty have some fun yall enjoy the game .... I have to say the 3 days away in Vegas was a wonderful thing for me I am back in the
game and ready for fun not stress so lets have fun yall!

Sarah, I think I've known you long enough to understand what you are saying. You will still do boss battles with the ccg, but after reading all this only with a single toon. You'll still run 2 toons together in boss battles outside of the ccg. Is that about it?

Now, can someone please pass the Jell-o?

Hi Sallyannslewfoot,
LST here. Post gone south? Seen it happen, but try not to let it get you down. You're just too rockin' to let that happen.

Toons and their pilots on this site are a great bunch. Protective of the CCG? I think so. Tough to keep a good thing going and CCG has been a great training ground to improve players abilities and ettiqiute on TT. Are TTF'ers open to suggestions? Absolutely!

New styles of play seem to emerge as more folks try new challenges and I am glad to see people "push the envelope".
(ever try to qualify racing backwards?, wanna do a 2 toon CFO with me or Ricky?)

You know me, I'll run with just about anyone and adjust my style of play to whatever gets dished out. I haven't tried running 2 toons thru boss in CCG cuz I'm not too coordinated. I like doing this with SF on special runs or if we can't get a full load.

If you need some help on your toons, give me a shout anytime.

Hope to see ya soon!
LST

Bumping this up for those that would like to see this. I cannot find the old discussion on TTC that DM refered to, but after alot of digging came up with this. Just curious to see if the people who posted in this thread before still have the same opinion, and would love to hear what the newer members of the site have to say.

Well, personally, I still don't like to see it in CCG. The only exception I would make is IF it's the last load and IF you've waited long enough to be fairly sure no one else is coming and IF you just do it for the cog round...I have taken 2 into random runs recently with a friend doing the same simply because we stay on the elevator and often get stuck alone, so with 4 toons in there we can win (using just the two main toons for the crane round). If there is no shuffle, and the load is full, we leave our extra toons outside.

My problem with it comes with CCG runs - yes, there are those who can run 2 but most who THINK they can, think way too highly of themselves. IMO if anyone can tell you're running two, then you shouldn't do it!

I realize that people enjoy running 2 but I don't see what's so hard about saving it for randoms or friends. Yep - have fun playing the way you want but have some respect for others along the way!

This was an interesting thread for sure.
I just think it is too easy to have it misinterpreted and then CCG gets a bad rep for allowing toons to just stand around and not contribute to the win. In the first case presented, it actually looks like they were griefing each other to get each other off the crane and a considerate toon might have reported them for bad behavior.

I don't mind doing a CFO with 7 (or 6 or whatever) but I do like to know going into the final round what the strategy needs to be.
