Policies and Disclaimers of www.toontownfriends.com

www.toontownfriends.com is a fan site of a family game. Therefore generally accessible content, including content in the personal blogs area, posted should be considered G-rated.

In blogs, since they are of a more personal nature, you can make the post private/friends only if you don't want EVERYONE to read it. Keep in mind that the Administrator can read them even if that is the case, and posting of inappropriate content will get those posts deleted and a suspension added for blog privileges. Keep it clean!

Rated-G means you should not use any words or phrases that would be inappropriate in a children's cartoon. See http://tms.ecol.net/movies/ratings.htm for a more exact definition.

This includes no foul language, inappropriate pictures or external website links that may be inappropriate for children. If you are uncertain as to whether a certain word, image, or link is allowed, contact a moderator or administrator before adding it to this site.

Any posts containing inappropriate content whether in the blogs, or in the forums of this site will either be edited or removed from the forums.

Posting such words/phrases/content after being warned can result in being suspended from www.toontownfriends.com for a given amount of time defined by the infraction and the Moderators. If you are consistent about posting this sort of content after you have been warned you will be permanently suspended from the site.

Warnings for infractions resulting in immediate action from Administration/Moderators of this site:

Forum infractions may result in actions being taken that can range from written warnings to temporary suspension and permanent suspension depending on the severity and frequency of the offense.

"Swearing or Cussing" - profane or obscene expression is not welcome here.

"Racial slurs and other such discussion"
. - Do I really need to give an example of this? Good Thanks!

"X-rated material (picture or website)" - Pornographic material deemed inappropriate for children and most adults for that matter, is not welcome here in any form.

"Violence" - is any attitude, word, or action that threatens or destroys the human dignity of a human person or groups of persons.

Multiple Accounts - I personally don't care if you have more than one account. Abusive posts from your other accounts however will get you and them deleted. Yes we can tell when you use other accounts.

Posting to Forums

Posting to forums enable you to communicate and collaborate with your friends and others that play Disney's Toontown Online, and just have a little more fun than just playing the game. Examples of forums include anything listed here: http://www.toontownfriends.com/forums.html

These online forums are similar to the classic definition of the word: forum -- A public place or medium for open discussions. You access forums by clicking on the forum link and by clicking on the title of the individual forum you want to view. For example, you can click on the Forums link to see a list of available discussions. Then, you can click on the title of discussion you wish to view and or participate in.

Please post in the appropriate forum. Don't be upset if your post is moved to a more appropriate forum. In the event you find your post missing, please attempt to locate it in what might be a more appropriate forum by using the Search feature, or click the link on the forum index that searches for your posts posts and find it there. Or simple click here - http://www.toontownfriends.com/search.php?search_id=egosearch_by_post

Each forum has a name and a brief description with them. This makes information easier for people to find if they have a similar question or are interested in the same things.

We reserve the right to move, remove, or close any post for any of the following reasons: (Disciplinary action will be taken on a case-by-case basis depending on the severity)

"Inappropriate/Non G-Rated discussions in the G-Rated Forums" - Posts which contains subjects such as: foul language/cussing, nudity and s*x, violence, drug or alcohol use (or any other illegal substance), etc., and/or that may be offensive to parents of younger children, will be removed immediately.

"Personal Information in G-Rated Forums" - This site has children present therefore asking for or volunteering personal information is not allowed. Personal Info consists of, but is not limited to: Real Life Names, Age, Gender, Location, Email Address exchanges, Instant messenger ID's, Password/Account Information, School Information and other similar details. This also applies to posting personal pictures of the users, their schools, homes (that include their exact locations), etc. This includes posting this information through Private Messages or on Personal Blogs. We here at toontownfriends.com strive to keep the environment as safe as possible for our users.

"Requesting Personal Information" - Again this site has children present, and in the effort to keep us all safe and secure, mentally and technically, it's unwise to request information of others such as their TEST account information, or OPEN account information. It's unwise to give your password to anyone, and asking for such information is just as bad and will warrant a suspension of your "Private" activities on this site such as Prillian, Blog, PMs. Thanks for your cooperation.

"Flaming"- is prohibited. While we do allow you to "Name names", we do not tolerate abusive, malicious, personal attacks. This includes slurs based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or political affiliation. No personal threats or harassment. Open Debate of opinions is more than welcome.

"Signature Lengths" - Users should be considerate of other users on the forums. Excessive lengths of signatures cause the flow of the threads to be disrupted. This also applies to graphical representation of signatures that are larger than 500 x 200 pixels in length and width size. It doesn't matter how big the font size is as long as the total area taken up by the signature text graphic does not exceed 500x200 in pixel length and width.

"Political/Religious Beliefs" - These conversations tend to lead to violent outbursts based on personal beliefs on these topics. Please keep these topics to your blogs. It is OK however to ask for others to pray for disaster victims, tragedy victims, etc. Any topic consisting of these subjects will be immediately removed and depending on the nature of the responses could result in Administrator/Moderator action toward the user that started the thread and the users who responded. If you want to discuss politics, please start a discussion in the Open Debates forum, that you can find on the Index Page

"Trolling" - is also prohibited. Intentionally disrupting a thread by posting obviously inaccurate or inflammatory information hoping to get a negative rise out of people. The perpetrators of such postings are known as "trolls".

"Spamming" - is not allowed in any form. The repeated posting of the same topic across multiple forums, or even within the same forum qualifies as "Spam". This also includes posting simply for the sake of increasing your post count, bumping your thread more that once per day, posting "Bump" or "So and so is sooo cool" 1000 times, and one or two letter replies (i.e. ok, LOL, Yes, agreed, nods). This is a more lax rule btw, but please don't abuse it.

"Irritating posting styles" - including the use of ALL CAPS and excessive punctuation!!!!!!!!!!, as well as excessive smileys, alTeRnAtInG cApS, excessively large fonts, etc. Also a lax rule, but please don't abuse it.

"Cross-posting/Multiple Posting" - Cross-post is means simply copying the posting to multiple forums. Only one post per subject is needed & repeat/cross-postings will be removed/moved as needed.

"Advertising" - Do not use the these forums for your own personal advertising space. This refers to anything for personal gain. Personal pages are welcome, as long as not excessively advertised. Keep in mind, all links may be checked for content and for guideline compliance.

"Impersonation of other Users" - Creating accounts on the site with similar names of existing users in order to cause chaos or misconceptions towards that user, or to harass that user, is not allowed and it can lead to permanent suspension from the site. Using "Fake Quotes" that are anything but in *humor* (to be decided by the staff here) can also lead to suspension from the site. Links spamming to sites for such things as pills, weight loss, stocks, watches, other spam related sites, will be removed as soon as I find them, please feel free to report any such links..

"Multiple User Accounts" - Creating multiple user accounts is "OK". Should it cause a problem, i.e. abusive posts, massive spamming, other violations of posting here, because as you know it can be determined what common users use an ip address, both will be removed.

"Personal Ads" - Creating posts announcing weddings, engagements, are allowed but should be kept to the personal blogs due to the inappropriate nature the posts usually end up taking on because of children present on the site. "toontownfriends.com is not a dating service.", but we will congradulate you on your wedding plans in your blogs if you should want to post them there.

"Hateful/Mean Posts" - Any posts that are hateful or mean in nature will be removed immediately. This includes any posts indicating that you grief other users on the forums or in game by purposefully causing problems, i.e. "I made this toon go sad because he was a noob and I hate noobs!"

Moderators and Administration

Moderators and administrators of this site monitor your compliance with the rules of the site and dispense disciplinary action at their discretion. Disciplinary decisions may be appealed through PM's to Mods/Admins. No unauthorized public posting of appeals. Appeals should be kept in PM's and/or e-mail correspondence.

Mods names are listed in GREEN
Admins names will be listed in RED

I the owner, Doctor Skids can be reached at bradyb @ toontownfriends.com (removing the obvious spaces)

While the Moderators here at toontownfriends.com will try their best to keep the forums in line. We sometimes do not manage to immediately catch all rule violations which is why we do ask for your help in catching things that might slip by. If you see anything questionable, please click on small picture looks like this .. Please include in this: a brief message stating who the person is & what they did specifically. Do not use this feature for any other reason. And do not take matters into your own hands by replying, PMing, or scolding a person.

Administrator & moderator decisions on locking threads or suspending members is final. If you have concerns regarding an incident, please feel free to discuss the matter with them via an e-mail or PM. Do not create a new topic simply for the purposes of questioning a moderators decision, it will be deleted.
