Prillian? And a blog question...
View Single PostView Single Post

Ok, call me dopey but I can't get Prillian to open on this PC. It pops up automatically on my laptop, but even when I click the link for it on this PC, nothing happens. I have the same software on both puters, so I'm not sure what's blocking it! If anyone can tell me what I need to do to get it unlocked, I'll be forever in your debt! Razz

I have Zone Alarm, McCafee, Spy Sweeper and AVG on both, but I'm leaning toward it being Zone Alarm doing the blocking. If that's the case can someone tell me what it will show up as so I can unblock it? I hate typing on the laptop so I'd much rather have it loaded on here if at all possible!

Thanks much!

Bnkzsahm

Edit: Is there any way to upload video or audio to my blog? I've got a few things I'd like to add, but I don't see anywhere I can do this???

This may sound silly, but have you checked your pop-up blocker?

Not silly at all! I've got it disabled for this site, so I don't think that's it. Guess I'll keep messing around till I figure out what's doing it! Razz

Hmmm, that's strange, that it works on one computer but not the other. And I assume you're using the same browser on both?

Yep same everything! I've decided to go through all the anti-virus, firewall stuff and see what's blocked differently on each one and see if that narrows it down. Wish me luck!!

Good luck with that! Sounds tedious to me. Maybe one of our resident computer gurus could offer a different suggestion?

Well even after sifting through all my programs I still can't figure out what's blocking Prillian, but...dimwit that I am, I finally had the bright idea of right clicking on the link and opening in a new window and THAT worked! D'oh Can't believe I didn't think of that before!!

I am still curious if there's a way to upload video or audio to our blogs though if anyone knows!

It still sounds like there's a pop-up blocker catching Prillian. Do you have any IE toolbars with a popup blocker?

As far as uploading video/audio to your blog, you would have to have the video/audio hosted on another site and could call it using the video and audio tags available in the post editing tools provided.

Yep, my IE does have popup blocker, but it's disabled so that's not it. I know it's got to be one of my programs, I just can't for the life of me figure out which one of them it is! Embarassed

I think I understand what you mean about bringing the tags over and I'll give that a whirl and see if I can make something work! Thanks so much!!!

I was also talking about the IE add-in toolbars. Many of them (i.e. Yahoo, MSN, etc.) may contain a popup blocker as well. Just a thought.

Nope don't have either of those, or any add on toolbars for that matter...but I'll keep looking! Smile

I was having a problem with the prillian since the move. Even talked with Brady about it (and Sir Monty). I couldn't figure out what was wrong.

Do you have a message coming up on the prillian? Mine had said something about DEBUG MODE. If you have that same screen, go into one of those options the offer you and find a REFRESH icon. Click that, and see if it works. That's what I did to get mine working again. Some Granny Pickles had the same problem, and I told her to do that, and she's back and running again also!

Good Luck to you! Let me know if it works!!

Well I just checked that and don't see any message. I tried refreshing from within the window and from the top, resetting my prefrences and opening and closing and it still won't pop open without me right clicking and opening in a new window. I feel like that little smilie that does the "loser" hand move each time I can't figure this out, but at least I did find a way to open it! lol Thanks so much all of you for your suggestions!!! Smile
