Spam In Blogs
View Single PostView Single Post

Today I noticed some SPAM shouts from a "guest" spammer. Guest meaning they aren't logged into the system. I've since made it where only Registered users that are logged in can shout. If you have any SPAM in your shoutbox just delete them. I have done this for a lot already.

I don't have any spam in my shoutbox, but if I did I don't see where I could delete it. Am I missing something?

Yeah all comments in the shoutbox have a way to delete them, there should be an X at the top right of any comment in your shotbox

Phentermine Purchase
View Single PostView Single Post

I just noticed a Shout Out on my blog from someone named Phentermine Purchase. It's mostly a script of some sort, but looks like it may be pharmaceutical spam. I was going to delete it, but since it appears to be from someone with a user name rather than simply "Guest" I thought you might want to check it out first.

Yeah, that was one I missed while deleting them. And it seems that the theme you are using now, wont let you delete shouts, I will fix that though asap. I can delete them on that template because I can look up the shout id in the database

Wierd that this template doesn't set it to delete shouts, I dont think it will be a problem, but if it comes to be, we can always disable that theme.
