Why are they saying that LHQ is going to be released in Apr? Are they not planning to release this to test or only have it on test for a short amount of time?

That's was my first thought too. If they're expecting to release it on open in April, they better release it on test pretty soon. Like now.

Wow, that's pretty quick, didnt expect it that soon. Hmm, I wonder if it is really going to come out in April....or maybe they just forgot to mention it was just for test?

Somehow I don't think so.. The last few newsletter's released had LHQ teasers on them. I have yet to see TT say something is coming next month unless they mean to open.

Either way I'd better get off here and on test! Have 6 more laff to get in tasks and some gags to max. Want to be ready! Hope they don't rush it thru test (sorry to those of you who aren't on test) So much easier to have the bugs our FIRST before releasing on open. How long did they test CFO and VP before it hitting open?

If I remember right we were able to test CHQ for about 3-4 weeks before it hit open. There were a lot of changes made while it was on test and that is why I am hoping they aren't rushing this just to make those on open happy.

So yes, it could be on open in April......the end of April? That would mean if things go as before that it will be hitting test very soon. Have to get to work on that fog!
Anyone have about 40 Mr Hollys laying around they want to loan me? (BAD late late night task choice)

I haven't been able to get on test, but I still hope they put it through test first. I'll let ya'll work out all of the bugs. When it gets on test, can someone post what you think about it? Also, do you think you'll just do random toontasks to get the lawbot suit? Can't wait, although I'm still a mingler and hmmm... think I'm a number cruncher? Guess I need to get to work finishing off those?

A few releases pertaining to cog HQ development. New Pajama Place tasks were released to test 16 days after the street first debuted (cogless), and I'd expect the new street to follow a similar timeline (my theory, all mine). Development for SB HQ and new DG task structure involving visits to SB HQ were much slower in development.
SELLBOT HQ:
12/1/03 sv1.0.9.2.test Initial prototype testing of SB HQ plus Oak Street unveiled
12/5/03 sv1.0.9.4.test Testing SB HQ
12/19/03 sv1.0.9.12 OPEN SB HQ and Oak Street unveiled on open
3/2/04 sv1.0.10.16.test New SellBot HQ tasks available.
3/4/04 sv1.0.10.18.test Lots of Sellbot HQ task fixes
3/12/04 sv1.0.11.3.test Added optional Sellbot HQ tasks.
3/19/04 sv1.0.11.6 OPEN Sellbot HQ-related tasks available on open
CASHBOT HQ:
1/12/05 sv1.0.15.1.test Pajama Place opens (no cogs)
1/14/05 sv1.0.15.2.test There are now Cogs in Pajama Place
1/21/05 sv1.0.15.4.test Cashbot HQ preview!
1/22/05 sv1.0.15.5.test All Mint rooms should be populated now
1/28/05 sv1.0.15.7.test Some new Tasks have been added for Pajama Place
2/2/05 sv1.0.15.3.1 OPEN Pajama Place unveiled on open
2/4/05 sv1.0.15.9.test More Toon Tasks and Suit Parts have been added for Cashbot HQ.
2/10/05 sv1.0.15.12.test Removed C.F.O. related Toon Tasks for low Laff Toons.
2/11/05 sv1.0.15.13.test Added Mint Supervisor Toon Task.
2/17/05 sv1.0.15.16 OPEN Cashbot HQ unveiled on open, "All advanced Toons should visit their local Toon HQ Officer and get to work on those Donald's Dreamland ToonTasks to assemble their Cashbot disguises. "
Edited to add dates when things were released on open.

Not having been around for a release of an HQ, can anyone tell me what all this work is you are putting in? Do you know what the requirements will be for law HQ, or merely being as ready as possible?
Just wondered if i had missed something somewhere which may have hinted at such things.
Thanks in advance for any replies,
LLK

I think to be ready for a new hq, an important thing to remember is to have a FULL bank. You will go sad many times, and having to ride the trolley or fish is a BIG pain in the keister. There will probably be a lot of disconnects too, as that seems to happen anytime they put in any new content. I know I am planning on getting in a bunch of cfos to stock up on some bean phrases. Also, any task that you don't have to take ( just for fun ones) should be easy to finish, as they will want us to test the new tasks for parts if they have them. The mints were open for a while before the CFO was last time, but no one really knows what they are planning for Law HQ. I think most people are assuming it will be harder than Cash, so work on your gags, and get as much laff as possible.

| Skinny Sourwhip : | | Am I the only one who thinks it will be easier than Cashbot HQ? |
I really don't know, but I've posted that idea in a couple of forums on a couple of sites. My reasoning was that you get to it from the Brrrgh, so it'll be designed for toons in or just beyond the Brrrgh. However, there are also reasons to expect it to be harder.
First, common sense says that Disney will recognize that it's the players with big toons, who have already mastered both the VP and CFO, that they need to keep interested in the game by providing them a more difficult challenge. From a fiscal standpoint (meaning keeping customers paying), it doesn't seem to make sense to add something new for the mid level toons, that already have something new and challenging to work towards (namely cash HQ).
Admittedly, that common sense reasoning doesn't necessarily apply.
The other reason to expect Law to be harder though is that it's pretty clear that the requirements for LawHQ will be progressing upwards from CashHQ. The Subpoenas we'll need appear above Bux in the screen when you're dancing (a glitch has resulted in screen shots showing this). The tab for the Law Suit page in the Shticker book appears above the tab for Cash. And you need more suit parts for Law than for Cash.
These indicators strongly suggest that LawHQ will be harder than CashHQ. My personal guess is that these indicators carry more weight than its position on the map. But only time will tell for sure.
