Hey everyone, it's been a real slice, but the secret has outlived its fun factor for me.

I am the Brown Monkey Mascot. There, I said it. Ha! Some of you may have already suspected it was me. Now you know for sure.

For anyone who likes the story behind stuff like this, here's a summary.

I made this toon back when bears first came out on test. Couldn't get the names I wanted approved, yada yada yada, ended up near the end of Donald's Dock with a toon still named Yellow Bear. Somewhere in there the Brown Monkey Phenomenon got underway, and one day it occurred to me how funny it would be to name my yellow bear Brown Monkey. So I did. I never had any intention of being "adopted" as a mascot or worming my way into the secret clan.

The monkeys spotted me of course, and decided they liked the idea. Over time I became friends with several of them (non-sf). Then one day a monkey asked me to SF. Then another and another. Eventually they inducted me as a "full member", privy to all their identities, etc. While I was perfectly willing and happy to become involved with them, this was all their doing, if that makes any difference.

When I was secret from everyone, it was fun, though I missed being able to talk to my friends when playing on the bear. People seemed to enjoy playing with me anyway, and I got plenty of help and encouragement in developing the toon as a sell uber.

Now that I'm SF with the monkeys, it makes me feel awkward in-game, being able to talk to some people but not others; especially others who are very good friends of mine, but do not have a clue that it's me they are playing with. Seemed unfair and exclusive. This is not meant to belittle the monkey friends I have - I'm very happy to have gotten the chance to play with some of you that I'd never played with before, and you are all fantastic. I've made some new good friends through all this.

But I still miss my other friends, and it seems unfair to keep them in the dark, so I decided to reveal myself.

No pressure on any other secret toons to follow suit, this is strictly a personal choice designed to enhance my own enjoyment of the game. But if you feel so inclined, now or in the future, please feel free to use this thread to announce your own secret toon identity.

Above all else, keep it fun for everyone!

I Knew it the whole time!! I just had this feeling. When you play with someone as much as we play together you just get this feeling. And the other day in VP when we lost you I felt so bad. But I didn't say anything to anyone. So anyways.. the other night when we Vp'd with your kitty on test.. I was telling another friend that you should be our monkey mascot. Boy what a coinencidence. Well Have fun! And see you around the water cooler. Also there may be a word that is spelled wrong here but Spellcheck says different. So much for computers!

Phew! One mystery out in the open! I am not surprised at all...I know you had SOMETHING to do with those monkeys!
