As usual I'm a day late, but what a day yesterday was. I live far from most of my family. My 9 yr old daughter , 27 yr old son and 2 yr old grandson are with me. For them I am thankful every day. But yesterday for the first time ever, my house was full of friends and my oldest daughter (who got married on the 23rd) and her hubby came from Mississippi. I've only lived here a year, but the friends I've made here make me feel like I've always been part of their families. So, I'm thankful for the heiffers I work with, the stinkers I play TT with and my wonderful children. I'm thankful for the chill in the air, the first cup of coffee in the morning, my grandson who comes to me every morning and says" hold you?" and that he's here and safe.
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
Oh, and before I forget...You ALL stink!! Laughing

I just hobbled out and placed a "Do Not Touch!" sign on the last remaining fallen palm so that (hopefully) the city will not grab it and haul it off. *fingers crossed* I hope they listen.

I'd be thankful for a white christmas, but since I'm in Florida I'll just shut up and decorate the palm tree that was blown over in the hurricane this year. lol

This cracked me up....do it! Take pictures and post them for us. We all want to see a picture of you out there doing this...and the end result. Soon all the neighbors will be following your great example. Let the Joy begin! *singing* "Deck the falls with boughs of holly. Fa la la la la la la la la!"

What an absloutely MARVELOUS idea!! Now, I hope they have NOT picked up the tree the city cut down for no reason. I can't wait to decorate it and I got my kids all excited too! We will have a sign saying "Deck the falls" like you said and Evan will make one that says "Katrina Kristmas Tree" and maybe something like "Thanks City Hall" Rolling Eyes

Woohoo! I think the spirit is coming back Razz

I am so thankful for technology!
All the family currently in Oregon gathered at my son's home for a wonderful dinner. There happens to be a computer station in his dining room. The other half of the family gathered in Oaxaca Mexico at the home of an American (it was a regular work day there) and set up my beloved laptop on their Thanksgiving table. Via technology, we had dinner together. Gotta love web cams. It was amazing to have them enter in the conversations at our table and have the cousins in Oregon teasing the cousins in Mexico.

lol Those pics are great! Unfortunately, the city collected (read as stole) the 25 foot palm that I placed the sign on Sad I think that I know someone who still has a tree knocked over from Wilma, so I'll see if I can decorate theirs. Very Happy
