What's the best method to get non-sf friends say what they need to say in Willow's shop? Poor Lily (pale yellow duck) must think Skinny Sourwhip is off her rocker.

When it first came out I told non-secret friends about it this way (works for total strangers too if they are near the shop):
Have them come into the shop. ("this way", "follow me")
Tell them again "Follow me"
Go up to the counter as if for the first time and say "would you like some help?"
Use the emote
Repeat as necessary. If they don't get it that way - not sure they ever will!

When I've brought a non-sf in, that's what I've done. But then i said "Toons of the world unite". I had to do it several times, "This way" "Would you like some help" "Toons of the world Unite", they eventually got it.

 Well I had that problem myself today on my toon Princess BZ. The toon I was trying to teach it to probably thinks i've lost my marbles also.....lol....anyways I tried all of that "follow me" and "would u like some help" and I even added "toons of the world unite!" into that also. Didn't work. I tried to say "use the speedchat" and then say "would u like some help" they still couldn't get it. Maybe some of these will work on ur friend. Mine is probably somewhere wondering about me lol....hopefully this helps u.

Yup, that's what I did, except I added a "Have you been here before?" at the begin to signify that this place was somehow special. It worked for a non-sf friend (fumbleberry) after about 15 minutes some time ago, and she was so pleased about it. I've tried with two others, and they just think I'm seriously daft.

Mine, too! Poor Lily. She is probably rethinking her friendship with Skinny Sourwhip. She was only 21 laff, but such a sensible player and quick with her speedchat I took her to be an teen or adult. Funny thing is I'd just bought her "What the Sam Hill's going on here?" and she asked me that a couple times in the shop, lol.

I've done it twice that way and it worked both times and neither took more than 20 seconds. That means that this is the only way to do it and you should never have to do it more than once. All other ways are wrong and will never work. If the other toon doesn't get it then you're doing it wrong. Quit horsing around!

A couple of times now I've had smaller toons I've friended and helped try to repay the favor by showing me how to get the big white toon effect in The Brrrgh.
Of course I've know about this since it came out on test, but I follow them and let them lead the way. They basically follow the same pattern above - "Follow Me" and "Howdy." I always follow suit and give them a smiley for showing me.  It's very cute.
I like the idea of using the phrase "Use the Speedchat." I'll have to try that next time.
