After playing Mighty Mouse for at least two and a half years, Disney has decided to pull her name and renamed her "Toon". I'm really not that upset that the name was pulled and I even understand their reasoning because it is the name of a cartoon character., I just think that they should have done this a long time ago if they found her name did not meet their criteria. I took her to the CJ, VP and CFO yesterday, so I guess someone complained or just signing into her triggered some kind of name filter on Disney's end. Oh well, such is life. For those of you who have her as a friend, please don't delete "Toon" from your list. I'll let you know her new name.
My problem is, I'm drawing a blank for a new name and was hoping for some ideas from the group. Can anyone help poor "Toon" get a better name?

How about one of these, if you want to keep essentially the same name, but spelled in a Disney approvable way...

Did Disney actually give you the option of renaming your toon?
When my little uber duckie's name was stripped, he was renamed 'Toon' and I did not have the option of renaming him. I've also never contacted Disney to see if I could rename him, so I'm just curious if they have allowed you the option to rename Mighty Mouse.

Yes, they did give me the option to rename her. I signed on to my account today and she was named Toon but I never was sent an email that they were taking her name.
I love the name My Tea Mouse--Thanks for that great name. Now I have my fingers crossed that they accept it.

That's great to hear. I hope they allow you whatever name you choose and leave it once they 'approve' it again!

Yes, it must be their annual (read - when they feel like it) "irritate players by renaming their Toons" spree! I noticed a couple posts on TTC about people finding their toon renamed. I also remember a while back, probably last year, someone had a Mrs Mighty Mouse on Test and they removed her name too. Then the Toon Name Police took a bunch of names away again on Open - a bunch of Curious George monkey toons became Toon. They seem so inconsistent with their naming policy though. Someone was asleep at the approval desk when "Feline Randy" was passed - a name I happen to think is hilarious, but I'm sure someone will complain about.
Good luck getting your new name approved - My Tea Mouse is great, reminds me of the sleepy dormouse in Alice In Wonderland, dozing off at the tea party.

Odd how some names are taken away, but some are not. I still see plenty of Tinker Bells, Donalds, Sonics, Pickachus. I even saw Clarabelle.
ROFL @ Feline Randy. Talk about name approval - they rejected my quite innocent name choice - Yetta Nother , then I see toons named Fuzzy Peach Bottom and C Duck Shawn
Good luck with My Tea Mouse!

Well, they rejected My Tea Mouse and Mi Tee Mouse I decided to go in a new direction and I'm waiting for them to decide on this name...Allison Wanda Land. If they don't like that one, Toon isn't such a bad name.

Good name, Brady. They already rejected Allison Wanda Land, so I submitted Anita Nuname, which I'm sure they will reject. I'll try Miss Teree Mouse next

I think you should try resubmitting the names you like best. I think the Disney name-checkers must rotate in and out of the job. I tried Lou C. Goosey every way I could think of and never got it approved so gave up and low and behold there IS a Lucy Goosey that was approved for another player. Also tried the first name of Ditzy on several toons and the same thing.. I ended up getting Dit Z. Duck approved and now I see all kinds of toons named Ditzy.
You always come up with the best names...don't settle on a so-so name for the toon formerly known as Mighty Mouse.... Hey maybe you should name him Prince__________ after the singer.

Sorry to hear My Tea Mouse and your other attempts have been rejected. Got a name yet? If not, I agree with what Nanner said. If you find a name you like, keep trying it for a while before you give up. I've had a name rejected a couple times before having it accepted, and I know two of the brown monkeys took months of regularly submitting their names before finally getting them approved.
Another idea for an alternate spelling of Mighty Mouse if you still want to go that route: Mite E. Mouse

I've heard that it also depends on the time of day you submit your name. Those who have submitted iffy names said they were more easily accepted during the night and on weekends. Good Luck!
