29% Dixie. You are a Yankee Doodle Dandy.
Maybe because I'm from OHIO!
I didn't realize that some of these phrases were regional - go figure.

49% Dixie. Barely in Yankeedom.
From southern Ohio originally, but my relocation to New England has infected me a bit (I can't say 'pop' for 'soda' up here because they won't know what I'm talking about.)

63% Dixie. Just under the Mason-Dixon Line
Phew -- I made it! I can still hold my head up high, y'all! I was a wee bit frightened when I saw what they had to say about some of my answers. I mean - New England???? *cringes* (no offense, heehee)
The only one I saw that was off was the liquor store one, OK y'all, EVERYONE knows the drive thru place is called the daiquiri store. Sheesh! Oh, and I never knew mudbugs HAD any other name, learn something new every day!
Oh wait, one more. I never heard of the term "access road" and that's supposed to be southern? Whatever!

97% Dixie. Is General Lee your grandfather?!
Lady Z, it isn't access road, I think they messed that one up: it is Excess road, lol.
I must admit I was a little worried when It said some of my words were from other regions, but when you spend time with other folks in the service, all your words get intertwined.
Po Boy? yea, we got them, but they have special ingredients.

Whatever, LOL. I'm a Canuck, but I tried it for fun anyway. It'd be interesting to see results from other non-Americans.

100% Dixie - and mighty proud of it!
I'm a born & bred cowgirl from Oklahoma. In fact - the nearest mall is over an hour and a half away. But Sunday afternoon you can find half the town at Wal-mart! Lived in the East awhile when the hubby was at Aberdeen Proving Grounds. Can't/won't say anything bad against'em - but dang was I glad to be back home! Ya know - don't think I ever got that pepsi on the east. Durn people kept bring coca cola - yikes!
BTW - if you plan on visiting rural Oklahoma, be prepared to drive with only one hand. The other is needed to wave at EVERY vehicle ya pass, especially the beat up trucks without any tailgates! If ya won't wave - 1. the tractors won't move over and let ya pass. 2. everyone will think yur an uppity New Yorker...

Born in DC, now in New England, but 10 of the most formative years in TX (7-17). I'm still a Texan at heart. All carbonated beverages are "Coke". In TX, if someone asked you what you wanted to drink and you replied "Coke", they would ask you which kind. To which you very well might reply Sprite. Around here, if you say "Coke" you will get a Coca-cola. I've had to learn to adjust so I get what I want, but I'm still thinking "Coke".
I tend (unconciously) to adjust my speech to the people I'm speaking to. Some people say they can still hear a slight southern drawl. Put me on teamspeak with Jonathan and I can hear it getting stronger with each sentence. One day back in TX and I'd probably sound like I never left LOL.
See y'all 'round tt!

WOW! That surprises me. I lived four years in Florida and seven in St Louis. By my standards, not real dixie-like (sorry Varmint!)
It must be all those Dukes of Hazzard episodes I watched as a kid.

Another Johnny Reb here. Violet summed up life in rural Oklahoma pretty well with this...
