So, who is going to enter the new contest??
Those of you that are used to running 2 toons should make short work of getting to 40 laff.
To get to 40 laff, you don't have to have cream pie, do you??
What amount of time do you all think it would take to win?

40 is just past D docks.... I'm at 35 with one Fishing Trophy.
No Cream Pie and No Factory and....No sell blueprints (I think).
No DG Key either.
The second toon would be great...TP instead of run and for tracking down (radar) those cog specific tasks (district hopping to find them too).
Have no idea but some of the TESTERS would know.... they blow thru those tasks quickly.

It's pretty easy to get to 40 laff in two days, so I'd say it has to be less than that! I'd love to enter the contest...but even with two accounts, I don't have any room left! If they have gag requirements it might be more difficult! If only they'd let us do it on test...I've got a slot left there!

For Lily:
Toontown introduces an entirely new in-game Toontown competition! Between August 1 and August 31, create a new Toon and reach 40 Laff Points by completing Toon Tasks, fishing, and kart racing. The goal is to earn these Laff Points in the most efficient way possible, using the least amount of in-game time. Here's how it works:
Step 1: Create a NEW Toon on or after August 1, 2006.
Step 2: Play Toontown and reach 40 Laff Points by August 31, 2006. Remember, the contest is not about who reaches 40 Laff Points the quickest in real-world time, it's about who takes the least amount of time in-game.
Step 3: That's it! The Toon who takes the least amount of gameplay time to reach 40 Laff Points will win a Dell gaming computer!
Let the Laffs begin!

Geez, if I had the inclination...
When you think about it, it really doesn't take THAT long to get 40 LP, especially if you don't focus on working your gags and take all of the laff TT.

I would like to post my thoughts on this event even though I will probably not participate, maybe someone could benefit and try to win a new CPU:
1. Band together with big toon friends (especially those with CJ summons). Probably need at least two with lure for building escorts and one or two to "pre-run" shops.
2. Pick a relatively empty district in which to work.
3. When you need X level 3 cogs in TTC, use a big toon to summon a building in TTC and take the building.
4. Only use gags on the little toon that you need to in order to complete the task (you get cog kill credit, just for being there, and low level gags take away from the % to hit on bigger cogs).
5. Know where your toontasks are going to take you. If you pick a go see a clerk task, know what he is going to give you and have toons ready with that type of cog, know which shop you need to return the things to and get a tp toon over there, preferrably before you even turn in the toontask, so you can jump to the other shop quickly.
This could probably be done in a very small amount of time (I'm thinking hours) with a well coordinated effort.
There wasn't anything in the "rules" about not making friends was there?

I didn't see anything in the rules about having help. Gee, this is TT, where you are supposed to work together! Even one of your first tasks is to make a new friend!
Good suggestions, Crazy O! There is a list out there that tells you what you'll have to do for each offered task, and shopping around for laff tasks other than the required see a toon ones wouldn't hurt!

Hey Crazy O, you had the same idea I had LOL. I started writing it up yesterday, but left it in draft, so now I have to edit it. I was thinking of taking just a step further, let's try to get this PC for one of our ttf friends.
Step 1 - Who really need's a new computer? Perhaps start a thread posting why you should win the computer and then we take a poll.
Step 2 - Who's going to make the toon? This should be someone who already has a decent computer that isn't going to lag them down. Time is of the essence.
Step 3 - Toon volunteers sign up as helpers and provide codes. Large toons would be needed to summon cogs/bldgs and help defeat them, smaller toons could be used for tp.
Step 4 - Make the toon and get going
Since the contest is based on actual in-game play time, not real time, the toon should log off after he/she's turned in a task and recieved a new one for preparation. The requirements of each task can be found at toontask.com and should be researched ahead of time. As an example, say the toon is working on the final gag training from DD. Before the toon logs one, one of the helpers would be waiting inside Ahab's, Claggarts, Wetsuit Dry Cleaners, Hooks clock Repair, and the Gyms. The new toon would know which toon was where and the order of tp. When they log on, they hop from toon 1 to toon 2 to toon 3, etc. Helpers with law rewards would be standing by to call whatever cog/bldg would be needed for the task.
The person that makes the new toon would have to agree ahead of time to have it sent to the winner of the poll.

Great idea Heather!! Now that I'm not one of the TTFers in need of a PC (I know how that is!!), I would be thrilled to be a helper toon!
