What do you think about the cannons?

Personally, I don't see the point in spending the 1000 jbs for it. Wish you could win jbs back from the game! On the other hand, Ian, my just now 3 yr old, loves the cannons. He has spent quite a bit of time laughing while making his toons "fall down." I can't see ordering any more rentals unless Ian really notices that they are missing from the estate. Smile

That's what I was thinking, that they are mainly for the little ones. I found it to be rather blah...I really didn't understand the point to having the cannons. But I'm sure that Stevie would be occupied for a while with them, laughing and having fun! Very Happy

I have gifted them to my kids a few times because THEY enjoy them, but I sure wouldn't waste the beans to have them at my estate. I've also noticed that once I've bought them on a toon, the cattlelog says "Already Purchased" (no matter when I go back and check their cattlelogs), so I'm assuming that's a bug, unless they're only planning on letting you rent them once??

My little ones adore them, and my big toons have enough JBs to get it and keep them busy and happy for awhile - not all the time though! Shocked I had fun with them on test but not enough to keep them for long.

I do think "renting" them for 48 hours, for the amount of beans they're charging, is ludicrous. I think you should be able to win beans from their use - that would go a long way toward me getting them often!

Well, if your toon did go bouncing around like pinball it might be different but everytime I tried I would hit bounced and stick in the ground.

How many ways do we need to TU? We have TU track (well, most eventually do), the automatic +1 in playground, the items in playground, doodles at estate, doodles in battle, SOS's, and unites, owooo and turning in a completed task. Now cannons!

What I want to know is does anyone have any more info (such as a scan) on the "garden" items that has appeared on the TTC website.

I have no more info on them and no-one seems to have posted any pics. If this is not a scam then Lily will soon have many many kinky beans for sale!!!!!

Shazam sent me a cannon as a gift. I have to tell you, I tried it two or three times, just to see what it was like. I can't see spending 1000 JBs for that!! Thanks, Tristan, for the gift! LOL! As terrible as I am on the cannon, you would have been ROFL at my antics! Razz

Well, I think it's pointless. Even the toonup aspect of it is a hassle, it doesn't last long enough and you can get barely get any points as it is. Wish you could get something more productive out of it, like prizes.
My daughter played with them when they first came out, but quickly got bored with them.

Thumbs down here.

My kids love it and have gifted it to them too.... overflowing from beans... I guess I shop around too much Very Happy

I was able to get 64 laff Tu once using the cannons. There is one that will bounce back close to a cannon. Everytime you hit the target it adds points (doubles) and time on to the round.

I haven't tried re-gifting them on the same toons... I was buying a round for them and then turning in tasks.

I was wondering about the gardening posted on ttc, too. It sounds like a neat idea if it is true. My newsletter is always later in the month, so I hope someone will scan theirs. It would be a more interesting way to spend those jbs!

Well you guys have confirmed what I have heard for a while. I am just a little kid at heart. I enjoy the cannons. *looks over and sees friends shaking their heads*

I find it a quick way to get laff considering I don't have a ranch full of doodles like most do. I always have more beans than I can possibly spend, so the price doesn't bother me (wish it was for a week though). I have found that aiming the cannon in the center of my estate straight up at the red target, I can earn 64 laff in a toon round.

I'll admit, they are not the greatest invention since sliced bread, but I have had some fun with them just the same.

Mary logged on to Mrs. Pupcake this afternoon to find that Tina had sent her the cannons! From the other room, with the vacuum on, I heard her happy screams "Mommy! Look what I got!". I wish I could have taken a picture of the look on her face! She played with them for a while and was then on to other things, but the boys played with them for a long time. Ah...boys and shooting stuff into the sky. Especially shooting themselves? Laughing

Thanks, Tina! Very Happy

Cannon tip I just learned (read it in the users guide):

You can add your own blue Bumper cloud by pressing INSERT at any point during your flight. That way, your Toon is sure to get in on the pinball action when next shot from the same cannon along the same path.
