Where have all the good times gone?
View Single PostView Single Post

Okay, I enjoy a nice vacation. Travel several states with my kids, pop in here and there for a VP or CFO, --when the hotel has access-- come home have a little surgery, start my new disciplinary career and log into a ghost town.
The Love Boat is in dry dock. There has been a great exodus. A deluge of once fun loving toons, now wearing the countenance of trolls, and warlocks, and vile creatures needing to be slain.
I have come seeking clarity.
Who are the loyal toons among us? Who are the turncoats, Benedict Arnolds, defectors if you will?
Who is gone, but not forgotten?
Who are the loyalist, strong to Whispering Willow's cause? Does the resistance still stand?

Loyalist Toon,
~Jacob

Maybe it's about time that we start to E-Mail the people that aren't around anymore!!! Saying where the heck are you? What's up with you? There are quite a few that are MIA now....Maybe they just need to know that their friends here miss them?

Jacob I don't know where to start lol my troll is adorable if only you could see, brownies? Yumm
The truth be told again another situation I could blame you for. This is your fault! First you get me into major griefing in TT, to the point where I didn't even know how to be a nice toon anymore, the games became my toons lifestyle after befriending you. Then out of the blue twice you completely abandoned me for extended amount of time. I was left all alone with other toons smiling at me, telling me I was cute, and expecting niceness from me. It became overwhelming and very lonely in TT without my stinkest friends (you, Pink, Pete, CC, Orville geez the oneriest), and I couldn't pretend to be sweet. TT was for nice folks if you didn't have a group to act up with. I couldn't adapt, so was swept up to be a troll. As you can see, had you not deserted me to begin with this would have never happened meanie.

Sweet Jacob, I think everyone went out on a search party for YOU. Maybe now that you've come home, things will get back to "normal".

As for you Granny Rolling Eyes I used to know this really sweet, nice monkey. Then one day he met this duck and he hasn't been the same since. Here's a spoon sweetie, now start emptying the water.

Heather it is all part of his illusion for you all. He was never ever sweet, you were blinded by his stories. This monkey has been a monster since I first ever friended him.

Excuse me. Pardon me. Would you be so kind as to pardon my interjecting into this conversation. That is to say, what I am meaning and wanting is a pardoning from you into this thread.
If I can say succinctly to you Ms. Pickles, that Thelonious is an outstandingly nice, and helpful and kind and generous monkey. In other words the simian in reference, one Thelonious is an inexplicably swell minkee.

Bedlam you were the King of illusion. Mya will never be the same since the games on test, feeling her mind exhausted after Bedlam played his sneakiest of tricks on her every chance he had, who in the world was that monkey! Mya's lil duckie head hit the pillow each nite trying to make sense of the many puzzles Bedlam produced. You are the beginning of it all monster BM. Seeing as how you are just as corruptive as Thelonious, I hope none believe the lies of outstandingly nice, helpful, or generous. Many will know the loss of members to WOW was Jacob's fault. p

Granny, I was stinky with you. If this isn't stinky, then what is? I got you down to 2 laff and kept myself high enough to sustain another round.

There is a perpetrator for sending people to the dark side, but its' name is not Thelonius, nor is it a toon of any sorts. No, my dear friends, the monster is here:

Hidden within these walls is a villain so dastardly that even the cogs had to bury it in the depths of the Brrrgh.

Take a journey with me, my friends, to a crisp day in April in what is known as "Test Town Territory." Law HQ had finally opened its' doors and toons were clammering to enter the realm of law and order, hoping to bring some justice to ToonTown. Little did the toons know that by entering such a place, they themselves were about to become Judge and jury and determine the fate of other toons worldwide. This Cog HQ somehow turned the toons themselves into cogs. The toons still wear their toony characters, but just like the cog suit we apply when entering a boss battle, these cogs are wearing toon suits.

I will admit that I was assimilated into the cog "collective" for a time myself. I entered Law HQ that April day, hoping to catch a glimpse of a new land to conquer. I was greeted by my friends that couldn't even wait 30 seconds for me to pass a code to 2 other friends. As I entered the CJ lobby, my jaw dropped as I saw 2 of my "closest" friends on TT, already standing in the elevator, doors closing. It took me a moment to recoup. I whispered to my friends and the response I received was, "Oh, I didn't know you wanted us to wait." A sad day in Toontown when your best friends have to GUESS if you want them to wait. Sad

The maniacal plot thickened when this HQ appeared in Open territory. The thick, cold walls of this corrupt asylum turned toons into ogres. The transition had begun. It was inevitable that these toons would switch to the dark side, bearing the oppressive costumes that WoW could provide.

I had already lost friends to the Beast on Test. My one true friend remained. He was ardent about maxing his law suit, and not wanting to lose another friend, I followed him as closely as I could. I was a mere 14 suits behind him when he maxed, and I'm sure I couldn't have done it that fast if it hadn't been for this gem of a friend.

Sadly, by clinging so hard to my friend, Doug, I myself became part of the conspiracy. I stopped attending CCG runs; halted all merits and bucks; I ate, slept, and drank from the judiciary cup known as the Chief Justice. In my quest to max my own suit, I spent countless hours at the behemouth "Office D." I watched once kind and caring toons turn into these ... these ... savages that would ditch toons at the count of 0 for such insignificant handicaps such as being soundless. I watched with horror as the "You stink!" and "Please go away!" phrases bounced off the walls like the flickering light from a campfire. Toons that I considered helpful were all of a sudden trolls themselves.

And so the pattern was set. Perhaps if the reward for defeating the Chief Justice had been sweeter, such fine toons would not have fallen to the dark side. But what can you expect? In VP, the reward is to call on another toon; in CFO the reward is to use a toony phrase; yet in CJ, our reward is none other than to call on more of the scoundrels that we are trying so hard to defeat. What an interesting twist... bringing in more of the ones we don't want. It's almost like showing your battle plans to the other side.

Oh, yes, there is an evildoer in Toontown, and its' name is Chief Justice. And Toontown will never again be the same. Sad

Dizzy Jen rotfl! You captured Granny at a very fun moment however that type of moment was very often until Jacob deserted me. It had become very rare occassion after his fast disappearance. There are a handful of stinkers still around TT but not as many as were before I ate a WOW brownie. Razz

Unfortunately, people are so afraid to ask others for help or to play that many of us spend most of our time on TT alone. When Doug isn't playing, I play 2 toons just to have some company. Every single one of my toons has space on their friends list these days, even Dizzy. I'm not in any rush to fill these spots because it's too depressing when people leave.

I recently had to delete 11 toons from the friends lists of my toons. These 11 toons belonged to 3 individuals. I cried when I did it. 2 of them were like sisters to me and the 3rd wore the mask of a friend but I later found out about the lies. Perhaps because of the pain of deleting these toons is another reason I don't fill the spots. I endured such pain for months because of those 11 spots. And it all started with Law HQ.

Some days I just want to delete my entire list and start over. Doug's game time is limited. If you see me around, I'm most likely playing alone. Feel free to invite yourself to play with me or to ask me for help.

Ahhhh Jenn we'll get the code thing worked out and now that I finally got Bearfoot Mama's suit ready for the Bonanza this weekend I'll probaly spend less time on test. Plus starting back to work next week (hopefully) will cut back on playing time to just evenings.
