Boy! The gag misses in here lately have been killing me! Making a long process that much longer!!
Then, last night I was in DA D with a SF and 2 randoms. Lure missed a bunch. Then, right before one elevator my SF disappears. I'm also watching tv so didn't see what happened - assumed he discod. But, at the next floor, he whispers that he didn't want to put up with the other toons' behavior. ???? Turns out my friend used tu instead of backing up a birthday cake so we faced the cog again. Apparently, the random did the mean 'Hey!' emotion so my friend left me.

After that, I just went on Miss T and headed to the bullion. Even running with total randoms was easier!!

Yep, the DA is painful even when everything is going well. It is just so long! Yikes when other things happen too! Ugh!

Yes, the gags are missing so much more, even high accuracy gags like Squirt and Sound.

I doubt I will pull a 3rd toon through Lawbot HQ on Open. It's just far too painful. I'm glad Cap's almost done!

I am lucky to have 2 accounts... I know this isn't an option to everyone. The last few DA offices I've done, I've done alone. I take 2 toons in... these toons are keeping the same suits so I always need the same amount of notices. I don't run any notes until both of them need them. I've done A-C offices completely alone, and I'm confident that if both had lure I could run a D alone also. Alas, one of the toons is McZilla, cute as can be but lureless nonetheless. Today's C office took about 45 minutes, but I've been in C offices with 4 toons that took that long so it wasn't a huge deal to me. Besides which, I like to do my notices in the morning, when there are very few, if any, toons in law hq. I've waited 20 minutes for someone to show up before. Never again.

The trick is to not hit any gag up barrels until you've finished that floor. Then go back and get them even if you don't need them. Try to use as much as you can of that particular gag on that floor. Here is what I do:

For 3 of the floors, the first set of skels I sound. 2 fogs, then one ele while one toon toons up the other. Then the other eles while the other toon toons. This finishes off all 4 skels. Af the clerk on each floor, I lure. If I have TNT available, I TNT an 11 but not the 11 on the right. Then kill off the 2nd 11 on the left. Use a gag that has a barrel on that floor or a cake and cream pie will do the 11 regardless of whether you get lure bonus or not. The 2 remaining cogs will definitely get lure bonus, so finish them off with whatever gag barrel you are going back to or use cake/cream for the 12 and storm/hose for the 11.

Once you've exhausted all of your sound, and you have to lure the skels, kill off the 11s with cake/cream or gag/piano, then the 2 remaining 10s will only need 2 cream pies. ** Note: You MUST hit the 10 to get him on the right so you are guaranteed the lure bonus. **

I finished C office with 1 red mag and 3 single lures left. I never got a lure barrel, so doubtful I could have finished a D office. Next time I will pack more lure and possibly try a D office. Worst case scenario, both of my toons have plenty of SOS cards and gag up unites.

It's so peaceful running a DA alone. It's quiet, nobody has to argue, I get to work all the puzzles (Ok, so I like the puzzles... this isn't a perk for those of you that don't like them), I can work with my strategy and learn some things, and I ALWAYS get to wait for invasion if I want to. When I get up to 14,400 notes on these toons (they are currently spin doctors), I still think I'll enjoy DA's alone. Probably won't do ALL of them alone if I can help it, but at least it's an option.

Boy! I wish my computers were closer together. I have 2 accounts but can't play them side by side. I'd spend the extra time (just like doing solo factories) if I could just get through on my own

Worse yet - I passed up an opportunity last night to go with 2 other toons that I love running with to end up being abandoned!!

You can always ask Granny if you see her on! Though she's still a lowly BF, she wouldn't mind getting more experience running through the DA offices!

For me Painful = DA offices! Only way you will get me in there is with a secret friend...otherwise...I DON'T CARE how long PTT has her first 14400 notices!!! Consider it my protest

Oh man! Another painful run.
I couldn't get into Nutty River so when I went no one was there but some mid-laff toons.
Ok - I'll be nice. I can take them through Office A.
Yeah - right! One toon hangs back and doesn't join the first fight until just one cog is left. Does this a couple of times. Then, when he joins one of the other one doesn't! Hello? We need more than 1 cream pie and a berry pie to kill a 10 while I lure!! If they would have all just played, it would have been a lot safer and faster. There was one good toon and I wished he had asked to be friends. I would have accepted for a change

Worse yet! I just got half of my needed 1100 notices

Oh, gosh, that was a painful run! That has happened to me in the mint... drives me crazy! You have my sympathy.

I love the DA Offices. I also love exploratory dental work and food poisoning.

Actually, I do like the DA Offices. There are just way too many needed for the JN's, but that's another story. I like to do the puzzles, plus, and much more important for my TT playing pleasure:

I love to watch 115+ toons doing the darnedest things in there! It seems (IMHO) that there was a wave of toons blasting through Law right after it opened. Cool and good for them. In general, there were some pretty darned dedicated toons rushing to max a toon or two or three, etc. We had the Shuffling Duck/Mouse/Insert Animal Name Here. We had constant complaining about the newbies (that's the nice way to say it, right?) causing the shuffle. And, we had the formula(s) for success laid out in detail for all to read.

Now, again in IMHO, it seems to be difficult to get a "good" load to run an Office (if one is running with randoms). For all the friends, SF'ing, forums, and just plain experience inside the Offices, it is just a hoot for me to go in the Office and watch a 123 completely at a loss. I usually play late (10 pm - midnight Pacific time), so I'm pretty sure there aren't a lot of kids behind the other toons.

Other than the odd lag problem or unintentional disco, I've experienced the: Oops - forgot to pick a gag (Sorry, I was delayed.), Oops - shouldn't have had 3 Fogs, Oops - should have had 2 Fogs, Oops - can't I solve the puzzle by running aimlessly thru to the button?, Oops - I only have a few minutes (on the second floor), Oops - the other toon refilled my Toon Up line just before a Fog Horn barrel, Oops - the other toon won't wait for an invasion, Oops - I get tooned up when I'm down to 110 when we needed a Cream Pie to dispatch an 11, Oops - I find the 110 laff toon I'm running with doesn't have maxed gags AND is using the DA for training, Oops - Use the Speedchat (when my SF and I are chatting to try to salvage all our toonie butts), Oops - the very rare true griefer, Oops - my fingers are getting tired...

I very rarely don't complete an Office once started. Occasionally, I've finished with less than 4 toons (discos primarily). But, rather than getting upset with my fellow toonies, I embrace the experiences and try to help, guide, teach, laugh a little (or maybe a lot), and most important: have fun. I play this silly game for fun. My fun is mainly in goofing around with the other toonies (I like working on toonie goals too, though). I've had some absolutely hilarious moments and some of those not so nice moments when a true stinker has done something cruel. I have met, thru SF'ing and thru boards like this, some wonderful people (at least that's what they say).

Yeah, I know I just outed myself as a sentimental (Did I say mental?) old guy. Okay, I don't care. If you see me hopping around the DA say Hi and Let's go, I'm usually up for the unknown. We'll probably finish the doggone thing and hopefully have a little fun on the way. BTW - my lure is working better now that TW has maxed in Sell!
