With a friend go into the side door. Battle the cogs then head to the Pipe Room. Only fight one set of cogs in the Pipe Room. From there go to the warehouse and clear the four in there. Head up top on the West, East and then Center.

If you are with a friend takes five minutes. One of the toons gags up with LOTS of sound. When you dance the sound loaded toon goes back to the side door. The other toon TPs to ToonTown Central playground for gags (always less toons in that gag shop in the busy district) then TPs back to side door. The toon that you loaded with sound (3 Fogs, 7 elephants, and 15 aoogahs) can run three runs before needing to head to the gag shop.

Use the side door so you don't have to put up with all the toons at the front door. If someone joins tell them "No Thank You" and if they ride in the factory with you...DO NOT let them lead you. Stick to your run.

This route will take about the same time as an invasion so if one starts at the beginning be quick. I have also found you stand around a lot less waiting for an invasion if running this run.

This run gets 476 merits (or something very close to that...been a few weeks since running) with an invasion. I have done many 5500 this way and have it down to about 2 hours to get them all.

Good luck and have fun.

Many short runs are always faster than fewer long runs! I rarely do the long run. It's a complete waste of time! Of course, everyone else is hooked on the long ones so unless you have an agreeable friend, you'll be stuck with them, I'm afraid.

I prefer to do short runs even in a slow district with no invasions. It's STILL faster than long runs, shuffling, waiting for an invasion in my book. It may just be that the stress level is nil compared to high....but that means a lot to me as well. Cool

Great suggestions! Hungry Hanna and Goliath did a bunch of short factories together this morning. Gosh it went so smoothly! I'm definitely going to try to find a friend to do it that way from now on. Those 5500 went so quickly compared to when LRB had to do them. Well, they did until I tried to solo the last one and had to use a sos lure and tu. But that is another topic... LOL

Yes...thank you much!

We didnt complete the 5500 in two hours, but only because I did two long runs before Megan and I got together. It took two hours and forty-five minutes! I was so surprised and very happy! I expected to be spending much longer in that dreaded factory.

Very Happy

You kids today have it SOOOO easy. Back in my day, the factories had half the merits they do now and you couldn't count on any invasions. For each 5500 merits, I think it was about 27 FULL factory runs. So, think of us crazy oldtimers that maxed sell before the changes! (Yeah - and I could go to the drugstore as a kid and get a real cherry coke with cherry syrup too!)

Yep it took a LOT longer for LRB to max sellbot than it will Goliath. I remember it wasn't worth it to do factories until Lawbot hq came out and the merits went way up. Gosh, that made life easier not to mention the invasion district. I wouldn't go back for anything! lol
