My little guy keeps asking if he'll be able to have a Turkey Head, just like he had the Pumpkin Head for Halloween.

Here, it seems lately that Thanksgiving is just a necesary evil to get through so we can get on to the REAL business of SHOPPING...
Not for me, I can't stand shopping! TThree Cheers for Amazon.com!
I love Thanksgiving. Only a few more hours till I get to see my nephews and niece! Mmmmm....baby smell!! Not to leave out my brothers and their wives...but they don't smell nearly as nice.

I love Thanksgiving! No fretting to find "the perfect gifts..." It is all about being thankful for what we have and not about what is under the big red bow. It is about remembering just HOW much we DO have to be thankful for, putting aside all of the daily woes and worries. I love to cook and fuss over family, so as much as I enjoy and make every holiday special for my family, this is the perfect holiday for me all around!

I do love the family and thankfulness part, but I sure wish it had better food
Turkey is just ok for me, no one *really* likes cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes are boring and mushy sweet potatoes shouldn't have to deal with marshmallows. I'm thankful for being with my family this year but it was sort of nice when I was on my own in Dallas and went out with a friend for shrimp cocktail and steak

Don't forget the roast beast!!! I have to work so hubby is cooking and he only does hams. Don't do the marshmallow thing in my sweet taters, just lots of butter. We have lots to be thankful for this year. The broguht my dad over to the hospital here on Friday thinking he had a brain tumor and he had surgery this morning to find out it was only an abcess. We are very thankful he's still with us and he's still him.
