HELP! All I want for Christmas is a new laptop?
View Single PostView Single Post

Hubby keeps asking me what I want for Christmas.....not that he's thinking what I REALLY want is something I need (well.... that red Jag probably isn't an option....) but what I would like is a rocking gaming laptop with all the bells and whistles. My brother is a puter geek but I'd like other opinions. To get what I really need that won't need to be replaced in the next 30 days as old news....what do I want???? I went laptop (with the desktop given to my daughter) about 3 or 4 yrs ago and I don't want to look back. Back in the day of P1/P2 or P3 I could figure this all out but now with all the new words for processers I'm lost. Same with...ok here is that word....VIDEO CARDS! I know I want a zillion tons of memory and hard drive (then again now there is a bunch of new memory....then the question of how much....)

If you could put together your dream laptop what would it be? Or if you could put together MY dream laptop...what would it be?

Nanner, I've built mine already. I can play TT, listen to mp3's and talk on yahoo and msn with no lag, even in boss battles. It is a Dell but they did it cheaper than any of my puter building buddies. I skimped on the harddrive because I have a 250 GB that I converted to a portable drive. Here's my specs:

Inspiron E1505, Intel Core Duoprocessor T2400 (2MB/1.83GHz/667MHz)

60GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive for Inspiron 6400/E1505
Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 2, English, for Inspiron
