Oh man you guys are grand! Thanks so so much for the birthday wishes!!!! I wish I could jump over and hug each of you!
Joe's making filet mignon and then we'll go to the ice cream parlour. It's not the best ice cream, but they bang this giant drum, shriek this big whistle and the staff gets the whole restaurant to sing to you. I've gone there on busy Saturday nights just to watch the theatrics - sometimes you'll see four or five birthdays in one evening. It's nuts. I love it. Wish you could join the fun!

Have fun at the icecream place, I used to work at one of those places...it was called Farrell's Icecream Parlor. I was one of those that used to run around with a HUGE bowl of icecream on a stretcher, and deliver it to the birthday party table!!  Oh what fun we had....LOL!!! Enjoy it!

Oooohhhhh!!! Sooo coool!! The fun the kids will have there!! (And you too!!) I had many great memories of going there myself as a kid, but they didn't compare to the fun we had making someone feel special on their birthday! Heck, I even remember pounding on that drum while everyone in the restaurant sang Happy Birthday...and the sirens that went off...OMG, the memories are coming back to haunt me!!! LOLOLOL!!
Lois, I hope you had a wonderful birthday, and didn't make a "Pig" of yourself....(ok, that was another thing about Farrell's, if you ate this enormous icecream dish, which they put in a trough, they would give you an award, and make you into a fool in front of everyone, cause they'd announce it to everyone...."And here we have ___. who came in here today with his friends, and he made a pig of himself by eating ____...."!!) Oh, the memories.....help!!!
