The firmware is up to date for the Router, I've updated the drivers for my video controller and also updated my Direct X thingy.
I haven't replaced the router or cable modem yet. I should see if I have a wire long enough to connect via ethernet cable, just to try. Other than that, I'm not sure, but will send a report the next time it says to.

It sounds like what was happening to me long ago, and the reason I switched to ethernet cable.
Also, I would suggest sending a report now. It won't ask you to every time. Just tell them you're having problems, and could they please check your logs to be sure you have all the current updates. I also got on Live Chat and they directed me to the specific update for MY computer - they're not all the same, and the DirectX (or whatever it was) page didn't have mine listed, but TT gave me the right link. Good luck!

I looked through the menu - didn't realize I could send a bug report without it prompting me to, so once I found it - I sent it.
How do you get to live chat? That seems like a quicker way of dealing with things.

Click Help - then Report a Bug. At the bottom of the selection list after that is the link for Chat with Toontown Live Support. If the link is not there, it means they're closed for the day...not sure what their hours are.
When I did that, he asked me to send a fresh report, which I did while he waited. That got him the logs that showed him what updates I needed. So get on Live Chat first and they'll take you from there. I found them very helpful, at least in this instance Good luck!! Let us know what you find out!

Thanks LadyZ - I'll do that later when I have a little time (or tomorrow if necessary). Real life beckons now that kids are arriving home

After I went and posted here about not having problems, I have had nothing BUT problems with being BOOTED & FROZE on Open and Test from Friday until now, but yesterday was the absolute worst.
Yesterday I disappeared from buildings, in VP & CFO. Usually with smaller toons because it was my intention to be helpful and not working on my own tasks... Instead, I feel like I have been leading the lambs into a slaughter! Last night I went on a 6pm VP and did fine for the first set of cogs, but on the second set, second gag, (which I had to TU the only 2 others with me on that side, that were both under 50 lp, if fully tuned), and BOOM, I was booted! I HOPE they were ubers and not small toons, so maybe they could keep the cogs abay until the other side could help... I am still feeling horribly guilty about it!
I then spent the next 5 hours reading and searching, searching and reading, uninstalling, reinstalling, downloading and what-have-you... Just hope I haven't caused more damage than good! Didn't dare go play last night, (and sheesh had to "work" today LOL), but will try again later tonight. I don't want to even play again until know I won't be leaving people stranded.
I'll try what you've listed here first... But now it's time to finish up making dinner.

One thing that seems to help me (or at least I think this is what is helping me as I too started having disconnect issues after my last post)...
I reset my cable modem and my router. I turn off power to both, then plug the modem back in, once the lights are flashing like normal, then I plug the router back in. I seem to have to do this every so often, or else I begin having problems again...

I've been connected via ethernet for a few hours now and was unable to get into the 'VP room' for the 6pm (eastern) CCG run, was constantly disconnected. Grrrr
OOoops - got into live chat
BTW queenmomo - we've done that here, reset the modem and the router but it's not something that should need to be done more than once a day.

Well, Live Help wants me to connect to the cable modem directly before they'll talk further... can't do that since my oldest IS in the 6pm CCG VP battle... few more minutes - I hear pies being thrown.

Good news!
Hubby hooked up something and my wireless internet is working great! I've gone through boss battles and everything - woohoo! I get some lag here and there, but that happened when I was hooked direct to my cable modem too.

Do you know what he hooked up? Was this before or after you let him out of the cage? I'd like to use my laptop at home as well but would need to get connected somehow. We have a router my hubby uses for xbox live, but I don't know if I can also run a computer off it at the same time (as he is on there as much as I'm on TT) or if I would be stuck buying another one. Any tech savvy people out there?
As I'm too lazy to post again, you know I will run the fac with you whenever you need. I need to do two myself if I'm gonna make the run later.

A new firewall, not something you are going to find in CompUSA or anything, he bought it from a company in NYC going out of business. He's a computer guy through and through. I believe it's also a router..

For those who are questioning this, we went through a VP together and the reward was Professor Pete. Hubby's name is Pete Lest there be thoughts that I have a strange time-out method or something lol. It was after I let him out btw

A router allows more than one computer to be using the internet connection at once. You will have to see if it is a wireless router or not. If it is, and your laptop has either an external card or internal wireless connection card, you would be good to go.

Hi,
I was having the similar issues. I uninstalled and reinstalled, updated graphic cards, direct x and something else (? hubby was helping me). Still iffy. I read on TTC about someone having similar problems and the fix was trigger forwarding your router. I will try to find the link. I wasn't able to switch between toons without issues. I managed to do that last nite. Sometimes it would take 3 attempts to log in. Both times I logged in since it was on first attempt. I stil havent found someone to vp with since. I can keep you updated.

I was having disco'ing problems quite a bit until I got a new cordless phone for the house. I play from two wireless laptops sometimes at the same time and have not had a problem since.
