Since that last update all of my doodles will have hearts on them.... even the ones that are always hungry that the kids bought and refuse to return Very Happy
Hard for them to be excited..... either a heart or nothing. Heck I can say Good Boy/Girl and hearts will appear.

You know....
That is interesting. I got on TT last night or the night before and jumped to my estate. My DreamLand doodle had a heart, which was really weird. Normally, my doodles get hearts rarely and only after I feed them and scratch them a couple of times. Are doodles getting more soft-hearted??

Hmmmm not sure. Titania has never had a heart until recently unless I scratched her for an hour and then it went away if I scratched her again after she got the heart! However, my other doodles almost always have hearts anyway so I couldn't tell ya.

LVTP (Lavender) and Treading Water (Lucky) both have maxed DDL doodles. Traits - Rarely confused, Rarely tired, Often excited, Always affectionate. Since maxed - neither has disappointed me yet. Seems I made TW in July and her doodle has only been hungry a few times. Usually has a heart above her head. Dusty (Mischief) and a mouse in training (Spitfire) both have unmaxed DDL doodles. Took me a few days of shopping until I found the same traits as LVTP's and TW's. But as long as they are kept fed and scratched - they perform 80% of the time and usually have hearts above their heads. Three more toons training in slow motion have MM standard doodles - worthless IMHO. I don't even feed them or scratch them anymore. The only thing they are good at is getting in the way of gardening. As soon as they get a 5000 bank, they will be traded in for DDL doodles.

Just my opinion. Very Happy

I have been fishing a lot today to fill my 7500 bean bank, and returned my ToonTown Central doodle, that I was so attached to I bought one in MML because I thought that would be the best one for right now. Since I can't figure out how to post these screenshots, actually I can't find them anywhere, here are my stats: rarely hungry, rarely confused, and rarely bored.

Wow! Nice traits!

Re: Traits - Rarely confused, Rarely tired, Often excited, Always affectionate

So there are actually doodles at DDL that will have all 4 of these traits? I have been looking for several days now, and have not yet even seen a rarely confused combined with a rarely tired.

I saw a sometimes confused with a rarely tired, but didn't know if that would work well enough...

Should I continue to be patient and keep looking, then?

Thanks Smile

I think most of my doodles have had the rarely in the descriptions, maybe one sometimes...

I have to mention that I always wait now till I get into the bigger sized bank, so I can get a DDL doodle. Just the other day, I got a doodle for Ms. Kitty Hawk, and low and behold, Stevie was playing my guy a couple days later....You guessed it, HE RETURNED MY DOODLE!! I logged in after, and thought, huh? Where is that doodle? Well, he's gone, poof, see ya! Time to start jumping again...I need more jellies to get another.

IMO if you can find one that says "standard" it's fine. I actually have better luck with DD or MM doodles than DDL, I never get a DDL one anymore.

Happy Squeaks - welcome to TTF Smile You'll have lots of fun here and learn a WHOLE lot about the game.

As for doodles, I purchased my first one for Loopy Nicklegoose in TTC. Taffy was ok, but wasn't easy to train. Once I got the 5K bank, I earned enough beans and bought Dolby in DDL. She has trained amazingly well in just the maybe month I've had her vs the few months I had Taffy.

Squeaky Valentine purchased Valentine in DD and Valentine is doing well in her training so far.

Mommy Toon... I'm not sure where she aquired Dolly from, but she's been great with training so far and helps toon up Loopy Nicklegoose well at the estate.

I have NO idea what any of their traits were when they were adopted though.

I've found the TTC doodles to be the easiest to train and by far the cheapest doodles. My sons (Crazy Oswald BananaMonkey)doodle Karate is from there and is awesome. I think he is a sometimes excited doodle. Look for that. Give him a bean and a Good Boy and he is ready to go. As for my Paco, he is a little more difficult. I just can't seem to bring myself to trade him though.

Good Luck,

I bought a standard doodle in TTC when I first started playing. She has been great and I feel silly but when I think about trading her in and see that sad face, I just can't bring myself to do it. The best part about her is she hasn't been hungry in months. Maybe it is those fish in my pond. Laughing

off topic- let's use lure Lure Level 2 Sorry I'm a little slow sometimes! Confused

OY! I don't bother with doodles anymore. It takes forever to save up that much $ and they rarely do tricks when you need them to. Mad Maybe I need to actually try to get one from DDL...

King Fuzzyfoot got "Pavlov" from DDL. His attributes are..

Rarely tired, rarely confused, rarely sumthing, sometimes hungry

The thing about the "Battle" quality Doodles is they train faster. Pavlov gets a "click" of Jump Experience EVERY OTHER TRICK. The lower priced doodles gain experience slower.......1 every 3 tricks, etc. That is why I buy the more expensive doodles.

Regarding thier sad faces....I trade em' without batting an eye. Especially if you NEED them to perform to save your skin in a building and all they do is sit there!

Just pump em' full of beans and keep saying Good Boy/Girl!

-Matt

Sometimes phrase and Rarely Forgets
View Single PostView Single Post

Is the "sometimes" phrase less than a standard trait? ie - is "sometimes confused" better than not seeing anything about the doodle being confused?

saw a trait tonight I haven't seen before..."rarely forgets"...on a doodle with "sometimes confused"....other 2 are sometimes sad and sometimes hungry...any thoughts as to if this doodle is worth purchasing (DDL doodle, so 4k+ beans) for quick training and consistent SOS use in battle?

ooooo, at the same time there's another doodle with rarely tired, always affectionate, always playful, rarely bored. not sure if this one will train as quickly, but with the rarely tired, and always playful, maybe it will do the tricks consistently (and more than one before becoming tired)? Any thoughts? or should i pass on both and wait for the "ideal" doodle?

Thanks Smile

Decent doodle in DDL tonight
View Single PostView Single Post

Not sure if this is the best place to post it, but:

There's a doodle in the pet shop at DDL tonight that is:
Rarely Forgets
Rarely Confused
Rarely Bored
Always Affectionate

Thought this wasn't bad if you've got 4998 jb's

btw, i got the doodle i mentioned in a previous post with "rarely forgets"...interestingly enough, she seems to "forget" from day to day...and when starting training for a day, may not do as well as an old standard doodle from TTC, but after training for a bit, i notice she starts getting a majority of the tricks (not to mention staying excited longer, and getting excited faster when tired).

....hoping to get my 5k jb bank for another toon before the doodle in this post "disappears"....

Happy Squeaks Smile
