Finally! Signed up for the Pirates of the Carribean Online game some time ago. Well today I was given a key to beta test and I am downloading it right now...woo hoo! Looks like actual beta testing does not start until Thursday and Friday... Needless to say, I will be doing my best to test the product those days and will not be found on TT if I can help it 
Ok...for those of you who are interested...made it on..made my pirate and got thru the first quest (and have only been booted twice...lol) Pretty nice so far though...

When I went on the site, I tried to register, it said I was already registered, then it allowed me to get updates...I did click that, and had an email from Disney a short time later saying that they'd be back in touch with me soon...I'm assuming that it meant that I'd be able to be one of the testers?!?

Sorry guys and gals...seems they will be increasing the number of testers to "test" how many persons can be accommodated on the server at a time. Perhaps, it will be this weekend?

I watched the "game trailer and...frankly, it didn't look that great to me. Usually in a trailer, they will show as many aspects to the game as possible. But, all I saw was several sword fighting scenes, and several naval battles. I am not saying that it won't be totally cool, but I am saying that the trailer didn't make me want to see any more.
Maybe some "screen shots" of the controls and stuff. What do you think? I need more info, but.....based on the trailer alone......I would NOT be interested in playing the Pirates game.

At this point in time, beta testers are forbidden from sharing info or screen shots (or they will be forced to walk the plank ). I will tell you, that it is so new, that i have only run into two other people, it is buggy and you are disconnected often (but they warned about that...the game is definitely not finished). It really has a lot of potential. It is just so hard to really say what you think when you are trying to figure things out and especially when those things are unfinished.

I got mine, too. However, I am not all that anxious to get involved in another Disney game, what with the way they are treating TT customers. If I do decide to play, I'll let you know.
