April 11, 2007 [sv1.0.27.3.test]

Made adjustments to Laff limits to CogHQ elevators, new limits as follows:
-Sellbot HQ: Side Elevator - 31
-Cashbot HQ: Dollar Mint Elevator - 66
-Cashbot HQ: Bullion Mint Elevator - 71

Fixed rare crash bugs in Jungle Vines game and Toon Memory Game.

Adjusted elevator timer some more.

In the C.F.O. battle, the magnetic crane will no longer be able to catch safes or goons in mid-air when dropped, they have to hit the ground before they can be picked up again.

Wow..sounds like they are making the CFO harder. I thought they made the Boss battles easier when new HQs came out.

No more throwing Live goons?

My take on this is that they can't seem to fix a specific bug so they are taking the easy road Shocked

Testers - Go do some CFOs and report back. I will try to be there tonight. Mr. Green

I'm glad they listened and lowered the laff for the bullion, although I still think it would have been better if they'd used a suit requirement.

The last line here worries me - does this mean no more flailing???? Say it ain't so Sad and why the heck would they do that Evil or Very Mad

Hooray about the laff requirements! See, they DO listen! Very Happy I would prefer a suit requirement myself, but at least GMZ won't languish any more than he already is, now.

As far as the flailing - I have to admit, I don't really like being on a run with a flailer. For one thing they're always "stealing my goons" Razz. Seriously, though - I think it makes the run too easy and always leaves me feeling like I didn't do anything (usually I didn't). I don't try not to board with them or anything, but it's just not fun for me. However - I would NEVER go so far as to say it shouldn't be done. Just that this change won't bother me!

I don't see the point of the safe thing...it's been fun to see how many hits I can get in a row (before tossing the safe on Shocked)

Would LOVE to go on test and CFO/VP/CJ but I still haven't figured out this darn Vista there. Anyone have a clue? Somebody? Anybody? I mentioned it to Disney when I wrote about the laff for mints and stuff but of course nobody answered. Not even to tell me to update my drivers.....

As for a reason no more flailing? Ummmm cuz it's easier to do that than fix the memory leak?

Varmint we CFO'd 4 times today. First time going with 6, then 8 and two we went with 5. The first group of 5 was the easiest of all 4 battles!
Seems since we can't pull the safes back they land nearby the CFO and if not removed from his side quickly he grabs them for a helmet. This also causes you to look around to make sure all craners have any safes, my bad last run after returning one safe, wound up with 4 and had to abandon that crane due to swarms.
I sent a lengthy bug report after the first 3 CFO's, I really think making it tougher for Random Toons in the busy district on open is a bad idea! DDL will sure to look a lot like when CFO first came to open Shocked

We have a thug run for cfo tonight around 10 est, would be a great opportunity to come out and test the new features!

Yay! So glad they changed the laff limit for bully. While I understand there still may be some older ubers who need to run them under 71, I feel its a good compromise. Still think the sell limit is silly.

Why change the CFO? Confused While I understand why they may want to stop goon flailing if that is a glitch. The inability to retrieve a safe is ridiculous. Can you see a safe thrower supplied with an unlimited supply of safes that you are providing while removing the helmet or making hits. It just doesn't make sense. If it's not broke don't fix it!

Great job on the limit thing! I just can't stand low people trying to get into the elevator. Good job on the bug for the vine and memory games as well.

Oh well, Ben There was never much at the CFO lol. It would be very rough to do the amount of buildings necessary to get 8900 bucks. I think there is a laff limit on going into the cfo too right?
