Level 6 cake not taking out the super in SHQ.
View Single PostView Single Post

I've been soloing the test Sell HQ quite frequently. I've noticed since the new updates that a level 6 maxxed cake no longer kills the super. Has anyone else noticed?

It only kills the super IF you get the lure bonus.

True. He either has to be the one tagged, or the last one standing in order to guarantee the lure bonus.

But I've also noticed in the past few days that a maxed cake plus a cream pie, which used to easily take out a lured 12 in any boss battle, has left them standing. The only explanation I can think of is that it's no longer true that all cogs get lure bonus in boss battles. Has anyone else noticed this?

I guess I forgot to mention I always goggle the supervisor group. The first cog I go for is the super. The level 6 isn't taking him out.
Lady Di I did notice that the lvl 6 and cream pie aren't killing the 12s even with lure.

But do you tag the foreman? It doesn't matter which lure you use, but what position the cog is on. He either needs to be the one you tag (which puts him on the right ) or the last one left.

I'll have to pay more attention to the 12s. Used to be they all got the bonus in the boss battles. I hope they haven't "fixed' that too. Mad

I noticed in a building yesterday that 2 creme pies didn't kill a level 9 lured, also 1 maxed cake didn't kill a level 9 lured either. This was a building, but the friend that was with me, and I were a little bit shocked that it wasn't working!

But in a building the lure bonus works differently. You don't always get it in a building or any battle other than boss (and street, I think....not 100% sure of that). I'm not positive how it's supposed to work in a building, other than the FIRST cog that comes out on the right (in mints, facs, DAs that would always be the one you tag), and the LAST cog standing. Replacement cogs can mess up what we think is supposed to be happening.

Now, if you saw that they DID get the lure bonus (orange numbers) and it still didn't take them out...or if it was one that you KNOW is supposed to get it (see above), that's a problem. But in the boss battle it's supposed to ALWAYS get lure bonus, which is why we are able to count on a cake and pie (fruit or cream) to take out a 12.

Kevin took his Brown Monkey Bear through the factory yesterday morning after the update and said that it worked just as it always had. He makes sure he tags the super and he is on the far right and then hits him with a cake. Said it died just as he expected. I went through the factory last night but we used sound and trap so I don't have any personal experience.

I know with buildings it is very hard to figure out which cogs get lure bonus. The one on the far right in the first set always gets it but after that I am never sure until you get the very last cog and then he will get it. I would say if cream pie is not taking out a 6 it didn't get lure bonus. I usually watch the damage numbers on the top when I hit a cog and it is easy to tell if there was a lure bonus that way.

Hmm... I guess I always tagged the super, and never paid attention. <------This is totally believable for me.

I believe that the cogs have been made stronger. I used to be able to knock out a lured level 6 with a cream pie - but lately most are still left standing. Also with the cake I used to knock out lured level 10 but I have notice that it only works half the time. The think the cogs are eating their spinach.

Since reading this thread I have been paying close attention. 4 boss runs, a couple of facs, couple of mints and a DA, plus a few buildings....the bonus has worked exactly as usual. If I hadn't seen it for myself in that CFO, I wouldn't believe it! Hopefully that was just a bug. Shocked
