OK, I need serious help! I can't figure out how to do ANYTHING! Well, I did figure out how to kick the door of the jail cell in, and used that skill to set free a couple of other prisoners. I have no idea how to talk, so if you were one of the pirates that came to me and said either "Hey", "How do you fight in this game", or "did you die too?" I was not ignoring you! I was just pressing all my buttons trying to find the right one!
At least I figured out how to put away my gun (which I didn't know I had) before getting in trouble for carrying it around.
Overall it seems way too complicated for my toony horsey mind.
Oh - and is there ANY way to play in full screen? I find tha partial screen very distracting.

push tab first...make sure your side menu is out...hit the skeleton heads in the top left corner. One is speedchat and the other activates the box for type

I did find that in "options" there is a way to enlarge the screen. It's not "full" but it covers most of my monitor screen, so I'm happy.
Talking seems overly complicated...or is that just me?

Talking is WAY too complicated for me too. In fact, all the game controls are overly complicated for me, which I emailed Disney about. (Yes I am blonde so that might be part of the reason )
Right now my quest is to sink Navy ships. I tried to use my ship's cannon, and nothing happened. No shots fired, no ship sunk, and my pirate wound up floating at sea with no ship! I haven't a clue what to do. Can anyone shed some light on this quest? And...does anyone know how to take screenshots?

Ahh, you've gotta get some cannonballs.
They ususally drop from the Scurvy Bloodsail guys, but if you are playing a Rogue you can stealth and pick their pockets. Then take the cannonball to your cannon and you should be able to use it to fire.
Oops, wrong game, sorry.

You have a ship??? I took the "sink a ship" quest thinking it would be easy as pie. Best I've been able to do is SWIM to get on a ship, and then I crash every time I try to board. Shooting the ship from the shore hasn't done a whole lot of good.
I find the whole thing way too complicated. It's fun trying to figure it out with the kids (I FINALLY killed a skeleton and made it to Tia whoever without getting killed by the giant wasps....yay me! How many tries did it take? ) I probably won't really play. I'm a toon at heart. Just wish they would fix their issues, which are sucking the fun out for so many people.

Read this without your gamer hats on. How incredibly funny/strange is this if no one knows what you are really talking about?

Here girl! come join me. You can carry a Rocket Launcher (closest thing to a cannon), I can take you to a place where you can shoot yourself out of a cannon, and I can take you to a place where you can fly over and drop bombs on guys below you (closest thing to firing a cannon at other people).
I've got Cannons galore!, come on, eat from the cookie plate.

Just catching up on this thread and see lots of questions re: chat.
If you hit the enter key it opens the "free" chat box and then you can just type what you want to say. I find it a bit faster than using the pirate head buttons as you have to get back control of your mouse to use them.
Talk to you soon I hope
And may I join that "trampy" thing you all have going on? LOL

What's weird about the chat thingy....I can see what some people are saying but the majority all I see is blah blah blah. All are non friends so I have NO idea if this is a bug or what's up.

Me neither. I HAVE seen people saying "how the heck do you do this?" and "Did I just die or something?" and "Do you know how to ...(whatever)?"
