GO RED WINGS!!!!!!!!!!
I have always loved the Red Wings, and to have them in the Stanley Cup Playoffs once again, just thrills me!!
Anybody else out there hockey fans?!? Who are you rooting for?
I have to admit, my friend's team from TX...the Dallas Stars were eliminated from the series. I was hoping they had made it, so they would face off with the Red Wings, but instead we're facing the San Jose Sharks. They are tied in the series now 1 - 1. The Wings won today. Catch it...hockey fever [/size]

Watching the Ottawa/NJ OT right now.
Rooting for Buffalo Sabres. Second team will be the Wings. Got to see them in the playoffs in 98/99 versus the Blues. Awesome! We want the Wings to knock out the Sharks.

When the Wings finally make it to the Final game...Stanley...it will most likely be that week that Jim is deployed, Beth...  The series they're in now is set to end May 9th, then they have another face off within the conference...another 13 days with a few days of a break in between. After that, a few more days, then on to Stanley...
There are 2 divisions...Eastern and Western...
EASTERN CONFERENCE
 New York Rangers VS. Buffalo Sabers 
Sabers won the series 4-2
 Ottawa Senators VS. New Jersey Devils 
Ottawa won the series 4-1
WESTERN CONFERENCE
 San Jose Sharks VS. Detroit Red Wings (GO WINGS!!) 
DETROIT RED WINGS LEAD THE SERIES!!! 3-2
 Vancouver Canucks VS. Anaheim Ducks 
Anaheim won the series 4-1 (Sorry Audrey... )
It's the best of 7 games in each series, and each series will last up to about 2 weeks. We have one more round to go in each division. For instance...the Wings will go on to VS Anaheim. (Notice I didn't mention the Sharks will go on...)
Then after the conference championship, the winning teams from each conference will go on to face eachother for STANLEY!!!
I want Stanley...

My Mom has to be one of the biggest hockey fans out there. Growing up in a prairie province she spent many hours listening to hockey games and watching her brothers play.
Now she has seasons tickets and is enjoying this extended season we are getting. Our Canucks eliminated Dallas but boy that was a big job! So I am rooting for the Canucks being the home team but not a big hockey fan. My son is enjoying it this year in a big way.

Hey now all you Red Wings fans, get ready to have your beloved team to not make it to the next round!  ....GO SHARKS!!!! (And from hubby "GO CANUCKS!!!" what do you expect, he's from Canada and doesn't know any better) We are hoping that our teams will face off in the playoffs so my team can kick his out  Course that isn't the way he sees it at all 
I sense there might be some replies to my post  Say what you will, my Sharks will go on to one more series after this, then another...only to have their names engraved forever on Lord Stanley.

Actually it is 1 win for Vancouver and 2 for Anaheim. It really stank last night they were tied into the third period and Anaheim got a goal. The last minute or two they had so many chances and almost got it in but nope, it was a loss for them. I bet they take it to 7 games, the Canucks are famous for that.

Last night's games....
The New York Rangers won 2-1 against The Buffalo Sabers
Series is now tied at 2-2
The Anaheim Ducks won 3-2 against the Vancouver Canucks
Anaheim is leading the series 3-1
Tonight's games...
Red Wings VS San Jose Sharks tonight,
it's a late game since it's in San Jose...10pm eastern
Ottawa VS Devils in Ottawa...game starts at 7pm eastern

Wings won 3-2
Here is a link to watch the clip from the RED WINGS GAME!!!! I'm soooo excited, they were down 2-0, and with less than 10 seconds left, got a goal....then with it 2-1 near the end of the 3rd period, and with 33 seconds left, they tied the game, to go into overtime!! WHAT AN AWESOME GAME!!! They got the winning goal in overtime!!!
