- Fixed a bug that was causing a client crash when using broadside cannons.
- Fixed a bug that was overflowing an 8 bit register and causing an AI crash.
- Published a new version of the launcher application.

Sloooooowwwwlyyyyyy. Not sure what their exact release date is but they better get moving if they still plan on "spring"! I still have a huge list for them all of which I sent in on Saturday. One of which is keeping that darn music off so it doesn't come on EVERY time you get booted! Ugggggg! BTW a friend and I are stuck at the moment. One of our quests is to make 80 coins playing poker. Ahhh they don't have poker yet! Only blackjack. So now we just go blow up things with our ships

I need to sink some ships, but i either need a crew or I need to learn how to stop steering and start shooting. And where do I find the navy guards that are supposed to be behind the tavern?
btw if you see a wench who is completely lost named Marge Wildvane - you found me!

Nanner, if you have not found the blackjack yet it is being played in the second taven in PortRoyal toward the end of town away from the fort. And, yes, you can double down and split which does add to the reality...helps you lose your money faster.

I don't have a crew either. I steer the ship so that it is just a bit ahead of the "victim" with one side facing the ship to sink. Usually, I hit 3 rounds in the exact same place... I go for the hull instead of the sails. If I have to move the ship (if the enemy ship isn't cooperating by standing still lol), then I wait for the recharge on the cannons to move a bit. Watch out for the ship steering through your ship. I've had enemies hop on board when that happens and then I have to fight them, too.
Go by the jail on Tortuga... there is always a sentry there... get him for that task. He always reappears after a few minutes... and then you can defeat him again... poor guy! [edited: hmmm... this morning I kept landing in jail time after time after time trying to get D'Arcis... ooof!, but the sentry was never at his station... awol?]
My pirate wench is still named "Lefty" right now. Hopefully they'll start accepting or rejecting names soon. Altho I am left-handed, so I guess it works.

Yes we found the blackjack but after that they send you to play poker. That is what isn't there yet...or at least wasn't as of Saturday. I had earlier even seen a game being played on the beach?  I asked about it and one guy told me they were going to play thru the whole stress test. Wish you could bet more than 2

OOOPS !! My bad Did you look in the other tavern in Port Royal? There always seems to be a poker game going there, tho' I have to say I have not checked in a while.
OK. I checked the other tavern this afternoon and there is a poker game going on in there. It is Texas Hold'em, but that is considered poker these days

It is blackjack at Port Royal as well. Has anyone finished with Joshamee Gibbs? I did a bunch of stuff for him and now I am supposed to go to him, he says lets start over and then nothing. I can't get that task off my list and move on and I can't get anymore to do except go see him. Both of the pirates I have made so far have stalled at the same point.
However I did get a name approved, one of my Pirates is Ivanna B. Pirate LOL. The other is with the name generator and her name is Beth Squidward, guess I had Sponge Bob on the brain LOL.

Miss Nutmeg here, if I remember correctly , they are currently working on a quest database patch. I think that has something to do with why were are not getting anymore new quests to move on.

I get in the position I want to be in, then I hit f1 to get away from the wheel. Then I jump down to the cannons and hit ctrl to shoot. Then I think I might have to draw my sword again to get away from the cannons? Does that answer your question? Try that and see if it helps.
I FINALLY got the guy in the cave today. Getting the $10 medicine from the medicine guy in Port Royal made all of the difference. Gosh, this is like TT... it was like a year and a half before I realized you could sell your bucket of fish in your estate. I'm hoping it won't take quite so long to find out some of this duh stuff on pirates. (Also figured out how to upgrade my cutlasse... duh!). lol

Too complicated  Just hit alt to get away from the wheel and cannons. BTW as of last Saturday even if you do get a crew the next time you want it you have to ask again. VERY frustating! Thanks for the poker tip! I knew I had played before but I asked another pirate (random one) and two said it wasn't there yet.....???? So off we went to blow stuff up

ALT nanner? What does ALT do in the game? You sure you not having another blond moment? 
The ESC key is what is used to come off the cannons, the helm, the chat, etc. But if that doesn't work, taking out your sword by pressing F1 is also an alternative. Taking out your gun or dagger works as well.

Well, I got an email from Pirates this evening for sharing personal info online. Made friends with a very nice pirate, named John, who lives in SC with his 6 children and wife. So, what got me into trouble? Telling the state we live in or our first names? Or how many children we each have? I definitely don't want my acct put on hold, but ya know, it is fun to know a few vague details about some of your fellow players. I'm really kinda surprised that I got the notice, but I'm also glad they didn't put my acct on hold. I've told people that same info in TT... well, I usually say I live in Hotlanta, but I thought saying GA would be more vague. lol

Yep, I agree... I'll just be trying to talk about the game too. lol! With kids playing the game they will definitely have to be vigilant with the chat. Ginny pointed out to me that everyone can see what you say in this game, unlike sf on TT. So that is a major difference. When I looked at the rules, the rules are so specific... no full names, ssn, emails, etc. Ya know those common sense things. But then they end it with no sharing of any personal info. So I will definitely be trying to just talk about the game there. Sometimes hard with us chatty people.
