PLEASE EXPLAIN-"Use the Speedchat"

I have noticed several toons doing the exact same thing. A toon on my friends list kept messaging me saying.."Please be my friend" immediately followed by "Use the Speedchat". I understand that these people are trying/wanting to become SECRET FRIENDS with me, but I cannot figure out what they want me to do? It is especially weird when this happens from someone ALREADY ON YOUR FRIENDS LIST! I have heard of the strategy of inviting someone to your estate and jumping next to the phone the corresponding times to your phone number..(which is a big NO-NO). but I cannot for the life of me figure out what they expect me to do to become thier Secret friend!

If anyone does this or knows what the deal is.....please let me know. I am not really looking for a Secret Friend that I don't know in real life, but it would be interesting to know what they are trying to do.

You can become secret friends by sharing the secret friends code using speed chat. The first letter of each speed chat used, is the letter in the secret code. They usually say OK after each speed chat phrase, to check that you got the letter. And you say OK or Yes to confirm.

Can always start over by saying "Lets play again", if the code didn't work for some reason.

I have found that the toons trying to do this immediately are usually children. Not that there is anything wrong with that but as an adult I tend to not make sf with kids unless they are my own. So be careful with that as well.

OK.....Got it! That makes total sense now. Thanks for enlightening me......LOL Actually..that is a rather clever system!

I don't make SF that I don't know, and even when I DO KNOW THEM..I usually just talk to them on the phone. No interest in trying to play.coordinate attacks with my wife (Queen Fuzzyfoot), and spend all my time chatting to someone in 2 sentence conversations.

Gosh, I have to admit it took me way over a year to figure that one out. I finally read a post here, and it clicked that a friend that I had played with since the beginning kept trying to make sfs w/ me on and off. Most people that realized I had no idea what they were doing x'd me. LOL! Rather clever system. But I was clueless forever. Smile

This is the funniest post I have read in a looong time. Are you speaking in "tongues"?? LOL...Hee Hee!

Anywho....I suggest a nice internet course in "punctuation", but, HEY.....I could be wrong!

Addressing the point.....I never SF chat in game because of several reasons..

#1-My wife is sitting next to me, eliminating the need to chat with her.

#2-All SF chat is done in Playgrounds. When it is battle time, we don't chat.

#3-I don't have that many SF to chat with. (2 I think).

They obviously want to become a SF. There are two ways to do this: Showing the code through furniture and taking a code and saying it with the speedchat. Say your code was TT ggg gyj. They would use the beginning of a word to show the code letter. For TT. You would say toontastic because of the T.

I have had the same problem from my friends, but I haven't figure out how to get the secret code. I was told to use the first letter of the speedchat phrases they use but how do you figure out the numbers needed? I would love the figure this out also. If anyone has the secret please let us in.

The toon will generally jump for the numbers.
I always say 'OK' after each letter.
I haven't done this for a while so do you just assume the initial TT these days?
