Ye Old Save As Draft Toontorial for MST
View Single PostView Single Post

You may or may not have noticed, that you can save your posts as a draft, for you to edit later.

Well, that worked fine if you were saving a draft that was just a reply to a post.

MST found that the junk was broke when it came to making a new post that was originally saved as a draft.

Fixed that now. So I thought a little HOWTO was in order for this junk.

First:

Type your brilliant, thought provoking, post, spell check it of course (unless you're perfect and we know you are)

Next:

Click the button. Located at the bottom new the Preview and Submit buttons.

After this completes you will be taken to the Forum Index

You can view your drafts and edit them further by clicking on the link on the Forum Index called:

View your drafts and posts

What that area of the Forum Index looks like:

After clicking the link you will see your drafts new the top of the "results" page, since you are basically doing a search on your posts, that looks like this:

Select the post you want to edit by clicking the link for that topic. Edit it as you would edit or post a regular post, then either resave it as a draft, or click submit to make the post LIVE.

Drafts are automatically deleted if they are 30+ days old. So, in case you are working on your memoirs, make your post live before that 30 day mark.

Will wonders never cease?! It's fixed! Even Nanner should be able to do this. Great tutorial BTW! Very nice pictures as I am a visual learner.

OK Off topic, wow can you imagine MOI going off topic? I'm just too lazy to create a new post.

What is the XML button on the blogs? I too skeered to push it to find out. Shocked

You did'nt know we had spell check? It's right under the box that you type in to make a post. It even has the words SpellCheck on it. Rolling Eyes

Well yes I really did know that. It's a button to push and I prefer to just not bother. Sorry, I'm busy gardening or kart racing or fishing or something? Rolling Eyes

I'm very good at reading typos and bad spelling so I want others to learn as well Razz

I don't often use the spell check, since I normally use "quick post".

Thanks, for the infor on saving threads as drafts, Doctor Skids.

I don't think it would work like that, you'd have to cut and paste to post a quote from another post. lol

Well since you asked it was uphill as only the kids way out on the farms got a bus. It was quite a long way. I can say that only one way was uphill and yes I walked in the snow and enjoyed going up then sliding back down. We then lined up our boots outside the class and put shoes on unless you had the ones you fit your shoes inside too.

Going by Lady Z's definition, shouldn't we be passing out hip waders as people register for this site? Very Happy
