Somebody said that someone should start a "Pet Peeve" thread. Soooooooooooooooo, here we go =P
A pet peeve (or pet hate) is a minor annoyance that can instill extreme frustration in an individual. Typically each person has several pet peeves that aggravate her or him more than the average person. Another person may not react as negatively or at all to the same circumstance.
Here are my two greatest pet peeves...
1) I hate when people base their opinion off non-factual proof, and then share their opinion as though it is fact.
2) I hate when people have double standards.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone interupts me in a conversation (barring an emergency of course).

Wow! I have so many.....Where to start? Which to choose?
1. People riding my bumper. Drives me nuts!
2. In Toon Town, it drives me crazy when someone ask for your help, and you're already helping another friend. You tell them that you are helping a friend, and they just keep asking you over and over again.
I could go on, but someone else's pet peeve may be someone going on and on about their pet peeves.

1) Someone is acting like they know it all and are better than everyone else.
2) Sharing a room (I'll soon no have to worry about this. I'm getting my on room in August.)
3) Someone doesn't pay attention to what you say and ignore you.
Those are my biggest Pet Peeves...I'm sure I have more, but I think these are the main ones.

The big pet peeve I can think of right now, is that my brother never says please or thank you to me. Also, my brother sometimes forgets to flush, put his clothes away, clean his room, turn off the tv, and put away gamecube games. Also, I hate when the Giants are shutouted.

Here's my top ones:
Talking on a cell phone/doing make up/eating etc while driving
Doing one of the above while driving then reacting like I am at fault for the accident they nearly caused because they were more engrossed with doing something other than driving while driving.
My husband not leaving out a clean diaper on the changing table. Every time I'm done with her diaper change I put out a new diaper so I don't have to reach for one the next time I have to change the baby especially if it's a bad diaper to change.
People who look at my business card and then ask me about what I do. It's a simple thing. I'm a cake decorator. "So you do cake decorating? *pause* and you are self employeed... Do you like what you do?" NO I HATE WHAT I DO THAT'S WHY I WENT INTO THE JOB FIELD AND HAVE MY OWN BUSINESS YOU MORON! ( )
Dressing my daughter in a dress with pink socks a pink blanket and a complete stranger walks up and asks "how cute is that baby!? Is it a boy?" Why yes thank you you I dress my son in a dress, pink blanket and pink paficier thanks for asking! My son looks at them like they are stupid and says "you mean you can't tell a boy from a girl! Oh brother!!! Boys have blue socks and girls have pink ones!" then he slaps his head and rolls his eyes.
My 6 year old telling me how to play TT! It is the single biggest pet peeve I have when I am playing the game.

Funny thing is that I think my 11yo would say very similar things about his 8yo brother

Having an idea and stating it to someone, who says yeah that won't work. A few months later that someone says, "hey i've got a great idea"...and verbatum says what you said a few months ago.

Yikes!!!! LOL I have never asked a person if their baby is a boy or a girl if they have their baby dressed in the obvious colors, but what I hate is when a person has their baby dressed in neutral colors, and they look at you like you're an idiot when you ask if their baby is a boy or girl.
I laughed so hard reading your post, especially the business card. How funny. =)

Okay I thought of a few more pet peeves...
1) I hate it when you tell someone your last name, and they still pronounce it wrong.
At doctors offices when you print your name on the clip board, and they call you when it is your turn. Well, my last name begins with an "N" yet they somehow start it with a "D". Not so sure if they should be in the medical field if they can't tell the difference between an "N" and a "D".
2) I hate when somebody tells you to go get "that" and "that" can be anything among the fifty other things laying there.
My grandpa was terrible when it came to doing that. I told him one time if I could read minds I would be a billionaire. He got soooo mad at me, because he said I was a smart (you know what). =P

ROFL!! No one pronounces my first name right, either. They say it the way they think it should be said, and I say "no" and say it right, and they say "you mean (wrong way)?" I feel like saying "oh yeah, you're right, all these years I've been sayin' it wrong THANKS!!!!"
Also my oldest son would be dressed in a blue football type outfit with blue tennies and a baseball hat that said "What a good boy" and people would say "boy or girl"!!
The business card thing was cracking me up too!

LadyZ - I am guilty of pronouncing your name wrong, but someone set me straight, so if we ever spoke by voice I'm all set LOL

Pet Peeve,
Hmmm when I'm talking on the phone to someone and I know they are using the computer (some of them are even playing toontown) and not paying attention to what I'm saying. LOL

LOL! No worries. Especially in writing, it's rough. Not to mention there's a fellow Kari here who says hers the other way...(so I can't call it wrong exactly LOL).
On the cruise, most of the foreign workers said it right the first time. I think it was more the accent than anything though.

My name is pronounced like carry....my fellow Kari pronounces her name like....car-e.
When I was a kid, the only person that pronounced my name wrong was the pastor at my church. I went to a Finnish-American Lutheran church, and he would call me like my fellow Kari....car-e. I HATED it!! (sorry, Kari, nothing against the way it's pronounced, just that he got my name wrong...) And he'd do it in front of the whole congregration...oof!

I work with a Kari who pronounces like you do Z Kari. You'd be surprised how many people get thrown off when I tell them I have an "H" in my name. They ask me of course if it's with an "H" and then procede to put in the strangest places, like Sarha. I won't start on my last name as well I don't want to tell it and people never, ever spell it right. I don't think I pronounce it right for that matter, lol. Should have kept my maiden name and life would have been so much easier.

LOL....that's me!!! Sorry, but you wouldn't want to drive behind me/next to/in front of me then!! I am a good driver though....I have learned to curl those eyelashes going 70 miles an hour. I don't even take my makeup case in the house. I guess having 5 kids, that's the last thing I do when I go somewhere.

People who don't turn their cell phones off during a movie. It drives me bonkers! Especially when the movie is really good.....

Cake deco takes major skilz. I applaud you . I just recently did a wilton spongebob for my daughters b-day. Took me 5 hours to frost the thing. Maybe because I only used 2 piping bags with 6-7 colors of icing LOL.
My pet peeve......when someone takes something you say and they blow it way out of context. Twist it then manipulate it into something you could never imagine it meaning.
