One thing about the CCG during the summer months is there is unfotrtunately more shuffle. Too many random toons that don't know the rules or kids that don't completely understand the rules show up during the summer holidays. That said I do think it is usually much better than going random most times.

Hubby has soloed the VP successfully but he did go in with a lot of SOS cards and TOW phrases, he said he didn't use nearly as many as he had expected too. One day the two of us plan on doing a two toon run. I don't think I have it in me to solo, my stunning, well it needs work.

Shuffle drives me nuts too. In my opinion, if you shuffle off an elevator in a random run for any other reason than getting on with your friend, then it must be too risky for you. If you are confident of your abilities in the VP then you should feel confident enough that you can at least make it through the cog roud with any group. If it turns out after the cog round that the team work just plain out stinks and the other toons don't care then I can understand leaving then. I remember quite a while ago Hubby and I were playing some of our smaller toons. I think they were about 70 laff at the time but smaller suits. There was this 105 laff cat with a HW suit shuffling like crazy. We checked her gags and had to laugh becuase they were terrible, we had far more tracks maxxed than her and given that we had other toons maxed we also knew we had the experience. We finally left but not without hubby whispering to her "I think this is too risky for you". She was jumping out of elevator with a very good mix of suits too.

Him and I have been on some VP elevators where we both weren't sure how well it would go. Lots of small suits and not great gags but we have danced for all of them, sometimes only 3 or 4 toons out of 6 but still we danced. I remember once when we were left with the two of us and one other toon that was obviously not as experienced as us and he was absolutely thrilled when we danced. I know he did not expect that one!

You should also check out our TTF runs. There is occasional shuffle but mainly to balance loads, at least that is how it was the last time I went it has been a while.

An SF (bean counter) and I (loan shark) boarded a vator with some robber barons. 1 bailed making it seven. We get to the top and start fighting the cogs, and next thing you know all 4 on the other side bailed. We had four on our side, so we continue to fight the cogs. WOW the number of cogs we battled. It had to be getting close to 50. During that battle one of the 4 on our side bails about halfway through the battle. Now it's down to the 3 of us. We're battling like crazy. An sf had to use one of her Prof Pete SOS Cards. My thought being that if we ALT F4 we're going to lose our level 7's and be sad too. We made it through the onslaught of cogs. We all agreed to go back to playground. My craning skills are not the best and I didn't want to cause the other 2 to go sad because of that. I wish that I could find those guys/girls and stink them till the cows come home.

I just don't get why (well, I do to a degree) RB have to bail on people lower than their suit. Especially if they're 5 RB's out of 8. Very frustrating!

I had that happen a week or two ago. 8 of us went on the elevator 1 bailed after the elevator doors closed. Four of the toons were chatting in private mode. After the first round of cogs four of them bailed leaving us 3 alone. Just so happen to be the four that were private chatting, coincidence? Hmmm, makes one wonder?

Anyway, we battled the cogs, and there were so many that I almost ran out of gags. We did it though; we beat the onslought of cogs. However, our fight against the VP didn't go as well. We battled the VP for at least an hour I'd say, and then we simply gave up, because we weren't getting anywhere.

I was so maaaaaad. But what can you do? All I can picture is those guys/girls laughing thinking what they did was funny. Well, whatever. Everytime I go fight the VP or CFO or whatever, I just hope to have a good group of team players. BTW I absolutely suck at the cranes. I just run around jumping into the lights trying to jump onto the robots thingys. It get's crazy.
