Wow. I was away most of the afternoon and evening yesterday when I logged on late to read this last night. I was thinking of you and your family while I was watching it as the top story even here in Canada. That is the kind of story nightmares are made of. I have never liked bridges either but I also hate tunnels too mainly because the only one here is underwater and that kind of freaks me out.

I am so glad your family is all ok and accounted for. My heart just goes out to all the people that were in that mess.

Audrey

That story reminds me of the SF earthquake back in '89, during the World Series between SF and Oakland. I remember seeing pics of the double-decker bridge...

Glad to hear your loved ones are safe.

I remember a bridge collapse, I think it as in Connecticut, 20 years or so ago. My godparents lived at its foot and saw the whole thing. A trucker from near where we live was the first one over when it collapsed. We visited there while they were still repairing it...I freaked when they wanted to drive over the temporary bridge and made them go around! We take those things so for granted. Sad

I'm glad all of your family is safe. I can't imagine how scary that must have been.

I also heard about that disaster. I am so sorry! I wasn't there at the VP run, but I'm sure everyone was fine with it! Very Happy I'm so so about what has happened with this disaster. I am so glad to hear that everyone is allright!
