Did ToonTown make it EASIER to catch the Ultra-Rares??
View Single PostView Single Post

I read in a few posts from the Toonfest "Q & A sessions" that some folks complained that fishing was too hard. From what I read, the TT developer attending said "they would work on that." Yesterday, I was fishing with my 3rd string toon Prince Fuzzyfoot and he caught the Concord! I only play him once a week when his Cattleog shows up and I did some fishing to buy the Steel Rod. I was totally shocked to get it. Today, I was playing my black cat....Professor Superspeed and caught the Devil Ray! about 10 minutes later, I went home and caught the Mackerel! Three rare fish on different toons and districts in under 24 hours?! Could disney have "fixed it"?...or was this just plain luck?

If they did "fix" the fishing probability I would be very happy. Thats really cool that someone suggested that. Congrats on the catches!

As you can imagine....I practically fell out of my chair. Queen Fuzzyfoot wasn't very happy for me though......LOL She has suddenly taken an interest in fishing again...Hee hee

I would think it's just luck right now, as there will have to be some sort of update before anything changes. Congrats on your amazing luck!!! Cool

If someone (like me) has only 1 or 2 fish left to catch and goes out and catches them the next bucket, then I will vote on a change being made! Maybe I'll try that!!

LRB has had a lot of good luck lately, although the Full Moon is elusive. They really do need to loosen up those fish a bit. The Grand about killed me. It took me so long that I didn't fish much for a few months after that one. My girls don't have the patience (or time) to fish for hours on end. I hope they make it just a bit easier so that kids (ok, and adults) will be able to catch all 70 without it taking 2 years. Smile

Congrats on getting those fish!!!
I need 6 more. The majority of the fish I got today were the "elusive" balloon and the "ever rare" starfish. LOL Cool They didn't even pay out in jellybeans for what it cost to catch them. lol Shocked

Ooof! Gotta hate fishing days like that! You might try changing districts? There's nothing more depressing that fishing and fishing and losing jbs! At least bigger buckets keep it somewhat interesting. Smile Good luck!

I've been trying off and on lately too (when not being whispered to about hitting the DA Rolling Eyes) and nada....zip....

I think maybe some people's luck has been changing but not TT.
