Phase 2 of the Beta Test - Now Open!
Welcome to Phase 2 and thank you for your willingness to test out the game - we really appreciate your help and feedback!
Please note that we will be holding weekly Stress Tests every Saturday from 11 AM to 2 PM Pacific Time to help test the game's capacity - please log in as often as you can each Saturday to assist us in this process.
Release Notes - September 24, 2007

General Interface
- Eliminated dual mode interface:

- Weapons are no longer equipped; they are mapped to the F1-F6 keys
- Only your current weapon is shown on screen

Were you able to go on? I tried to log in, and of course there is an update....which failed, caues they cannot retrieve the patch.
I didn't receive an email stating that it's back on, I'm sure once it is ready, we will all get something to tell us to get on over....
Oh David...something for you....

Yup, been playing since I posted this. Have reached lvl 5 so far.
In the middle of the game my internet connection went down and after it came back up, when opening the game, it was giving an error saying it couldn't get version info and closed. But I repaired my connection and all was well with the world.
The patch update went smoothly for me. Took a while to download tho.
And thanks for the cookies PBB.
You're the one that stole them huh?

At what stage does it crash? Did you get past the update? Able to reach the login screen in the game?
You could always uninstall and install the game again. If you deleted the installer, click the link in the first post and login into the disney pirate site, then click the PLAY button. Should give you the option to download it again.
See if that helps any.

I get to the log in screen, but that's it, once I click play, it states everytime......Error Fetching Patcher Version Info. I've tried both of my accounts, and the same thing on both. It doesn't update, that's where it keeps dying. I uninstalled it, but I guess I can't reinstall, unless I can update, right?
I'm just wondering if only certain people can get on right now?!? Kind of like how they handed out the keys to begin with. I'm going to send a bug report.

Well, I am thinking along the lines that the new setup file would contain the updated files. So that you wouldn't need to download any patches.
Hush that you can't get in. I'll keep you updated on my journey as a pirate then.

Go to www.piratesonline.com and click the big ole Sign Up button on the left. Then cross your fingers and hope you get a beta key before the beta is over.

Yes after beta then it will open to the public. This is phase 2 of beta. No idea how many they are planning. It's been down for months between one and two beta while they add/fix/whatever things. It still says somewhere about a fall release so??????

Visit www.piratesonline.com to view screenshots and watch video's of the game. Then you can judge if it's really really really fun for you.
I enjoy it, if that helps.

Me too...enjoy it that is. Except when you start pulling your hair out due to some bugs from beta. I've heard some say they didn't like it but guess it's a taste thingy. Yes, you can interact with others but it's not a game I'd really compare to TT. Not sure what game it would be like to compare it to?
