That elusive key to Daisy Garden
View Single PostView Single Post

Just curious. Does EVERY toon get the "wrong" key the first go round on that task you get assigned in the 35-45 laff range to get a key to DG from either legal eagles or minglers? I've got another toon coming up thru the ranks who just got assigned that task and just got the wrong key. I'm pretty sure all of my toons have gotten the "wrong" key before they got the right key. That must be the norm, but it is a for-sure thing? Just wondering.

Yes, Its always the wrong key the first time. Personally I think the hq clerks need to get out from behing their desks and do some of the dirty work!

My experiences was always that the first one was wrong.
However, I will say that the time my third toon was doing this task, my mom fell and broke her hip. It was a very stressful day and I just wanted to play Toontown and beat something up Smile. I got the second (right) key in my first building!! I think TT was trying to make me feel better.

It's happened to me too. Most recently (well, not so recent now, but my most recent toon...do you get what I mean...errr...ummmm....sorry, back on topic) it has happened with Plummer. I was working that one street pretty hard and fighting in buildings. When I got it, I did the WOOP WOOP dance. When I got to the HQ, and they told me it was a fake, I could hear the Pac-Man-got-eaten-by-a-ghost music. About an hour later, I finally got it.

It's a miracle that the HQ Clerks still have a job. They keep losing that darn key! Razz

Yep. See, the loophole is the task asks for "A" key. You take the task, thinking it's for "THE" key (there is no task for "THE" key first, BTW). So they didn't ask you for THE key, you go and get "A" key and they want "THE" key....sigh....I think the shopkeepers are cogs in denial!!

Oh, you in BIG trouble for dropping the M BOMB on me yet again!!! *daggers shoots from her eyes* HEH HEH

I didn't go sad late nite because these TTFers are WAY too good at the CFO. The reds hardly had a chance to introduce themselves. Usually when I'm in there, the reds are swarming like gnats and I'm dropping laff faster than a duck sheds water!

BTW - Max McWoof - you are WAY off topic!!!! HEH HEH! Not that I mind, but you know I gotta do something to get you back for blasting that evil M word my direction!

And you know what's even MORE horrid than either the fac or the mine? Being called Ma'am!! AAAAUUUUGGGGHHH Razz Mini-golf isn't as tedius as racing or fishing--don't you think? I haven't gotten the second mini-golf laff yet, so maybe I just haven't reached breaking point on that one like I have on the others (and I still need one more trophy from both racing and fishing, YIKES).

BTW, Sadie, I am SO VERY, ummmm, NICE (yes, that's the word, "nice") until someone has the audacity to call me "ma'am" or something else that strikes me as something I ought to be indignant about (which pretty much includes everything). HEH HEH! You guys are a HOOT!!

Some folks have to recover it from legal eagles, the factory is no use for that.
