I just got an email from Disney about pre-subscribing to the Pirates game...apparently they are still saying that a release is immenant in the fall. They are offering all pre-orders as founders status in the game and I guess some other things to unlock that others can't get. Also the first month is at 50% off (which is about $5), guess it is going to be the same monthly price as TT. Anyone else get this email...still thinking if I would even have time for it to be worth it to me.

Not paying to play this game at all. Not what I am seeing so far. I'll be surprised if they fix the bugs plaguing it right now before release.
But I am thinking, if having an Unlimited Access account, unlocks higher lvl ships and weapons and such, what prevents me from building up my character first as far as I can, using the Limited Access, then buy the Unlimited Access after? Why waste 4.95 or 9.95 to unlock these extras when you won't be using them just yet. hmmm
Anywho, a lot of us are still wondering, what happens when you run out of quests. There isn't much else to do. There isn't any CFO boss to beat over and over. hmm

Silly - Have you maxed a pirate (completed all quests)? How long do you think that would take?
Not worth it to pay for the current game...hmmmm...interesting. Did the LawHq designers create this one?

LoL, no not yet Varmint. Only a lowly lvl 16. But I have been reading the views of those that have maxxed their skills (lvl 20). And are at lvl 24 last time they posted. Probably higher now.
They were complaining that there were not enough high lvl mobs to fight at their lvl as well.

My pirate is still lvl4 - but the hubby does play some. If being a founder would lock you in at $4.95, I would have thought about it. He doesn't play enough to seem to make it worth it. And I could always use that extra $ for another tt account.

And I could always use that extra $ for another tt account. | There isn't any locking at all. The 4.95 is just for the first month. lol After that, it's regular pricing of 9.95.

I was thinking the original Toontown subscribers still paid the initial price of $4.95 a month. If Pirates had that option - rather than upping the cost after the first month - I might have considered it. But until they have bike horns - I still doubt I'd pay for it.

Hey FOOT! What issues are you still having? Except for the often boot mine is running pretty smooth compared to phase 1. Seems they are taking a bit of time with this one vs some of the TT updates. Can't compare it to when TT first went online since I wasn't around....
I do see ways they can update this. If you note in the weapons there seems to be many spots left for extras plus following the story line vs the movies there is room for updates. As for "boss" type things....did TT have those when it first opened? (for some reason I'm thinking not? A post somewhere)? Anyway I'm going to give it a shot and see where it goes. If it doesn't seem to grow then I'll be the first one out of there. For now I'm just having some fun doing something besides DA offices
(NOOOO! I have not gone to the dark/pirate side.....Yes, I 've been on there much more than TT lately but only because it's new and I have some friends there....and I'm DA stalling. Haven't played anything in a few days/nights. RL stuff)

I have no issues with it Nanner. Game runs smoothly for me as well.
You can see all the weapons you get when you visit Gunsmith or the Swordsmith (that's his occupation right? They are all Smith's?) And you can see all the skills you get when you press K and move your mouse over the circles. Will show you a description of what the skill does and what lvl you will get it at.
Guess you might be right that they didn't add bosses right away for TT. Guess I'll see what happens a year from now. lol

Yes I know about the upcoming weapons that you earn now and how to see what they are...what I meant was there is room on the screen to add more later if Disney decides to do so. Same with shopkeepers. Can always add more stuff. Plus so many buildings are unused right now that there is room for expansion there too. I am learning what to give "dots" to and what not as far as weapons. I had no clue at first and gave 3 dots to a basically useless item. Oh well....live and learn (and it's only Beta ) Just so hard to save them for later when you do earn them!
BTW a friend of mine saw a lvl 66 ship one day last week when she was alone. We went in search of it later that night but of course never found it. Leads me to believe things will get harder at one point?
Now I'm of to take a little nap.....icky night last night. You can talk to yourself for awhile
