I think TT needs to add more phrases like "I was here first" or That's not fair" or "Go find your own bldg!" you know, something more to the point of that.

I was on Polar Place runnning around looking for 4 story bldgs for my final gag track.. got 11 bldgs to go.. everyone at my stage know how long it takes to do this.... anyway.. I ran past a group fighting cogs in the street.. found a 5 story SB and stood there and waited for help, thinking I could kill two birds cuz I need more merits and it was a SB invasion... about 5min later this group comes and three get on.. I figured they were waiting for me so I hop on and they all get out! so we shuffle a few times and they all finally get on without me. At least have the courtesy to let the one that was waiting get on... I'm sure they wouldnt lilke it if it happened to them...

Oh I have had that happen too. Its very frustrating! Even with crafty phrases it wont help you when you run into stinky toons. Just say to yourself "See you at the playground when you are all green and gagless!"
I actually play to look for toons that need help with tasks, so if I see you I'll help you knock out some of those bldg's!

Owooo! That's happened to me too! It drives me crazy! It's like you're standing there, it's your shot at the building, and they just take away that chance and leave you all by yourself so you have to look for another building. I'm sorry that happened to you. I hope it works better next time!

I was on today - working with LVTP and a uber in training. We stood alone in front of a building for several minutes waiting for an invasion to start. I finally decided to call one myself. As I closed my book, 4 toons rushed on and took it. I couldn't even get my little toon on it. There are two lil pigs in the Brrrgh that don't want to meet up with me again.

I think mostly, that the people playing ToonTown are those of the younger generation LOL. I realize that saying such things will surely date me. OK I'm 48... that's out of the bag, and I feel better. I tend to wait for those I'm playing with to enter an elevator first. In real life I do this, but I admit, that as for ToonTown, I got this habit from that ole Southern gentleman Crazy BooBoo Fuzzysocks. Unfortunately, there are a great many who adopt a Last-Come-First Serve approach to the building and auxiliary HQ (Fac, Mint, DA) settings. What can be said? I have had buildings "stolen" from me by the gangs that roam the streets. I have taken it personally enough to stink them if they won, and followed them to their next takeover giving them the What-For. But when all is said and done, that didn't really help. Best plan is to vent it somewhere like here, and go on toward finishing the tasks. One thing, there is on this site, a list of the Most Unwanted Toons. The list contains names of toons that are best avoided.

You will find that the folks that hang around this site are a cut above the average, and make both great friends and excellent players. Good Luck Toontowning!

True that is very frustrating.. And in that shuffle you get knocked back in the elevator and the door closes and you are the only one on it! Oh man... That Stinks!!! I too just play somedays to just help other toons... I may be running to do something and see some poor toon standing in front of a building I will stop and offer help and call friends to come help too. Try to keep track of what task some freinds are running.. Oh to share and play nice! Makes a heart feel good.

I had a similar thing happen yesterday, only there were just 3 toons at a 4 story building in Donalds Dock. I was not playing my 109lp Cool Bongo Dandyroni, but was working on building up his sister 33lp Cool Rhubarb Dandyroni. She needed to defeat a cog building for lure training, I jumped on the elevator with these 3 toons(one of which was a 27lp). They all jumped off(If I had of been using CBD, I would have stayed on and taken it by myself, just to show them). They would not let me on with them, so I wstopped trying and watched the three of them ride away. Then I went around the corner and founda 26lp toon styanding in front of a 2 story building, we jumped on the elevator, took down the building and when we returned to the street I stepped around the corner and saw the 4 story sitting there with its elevator door open. I returned to the playground feeling rosie knowing they had returned to the playground all green and sad. In my eyes justice had been served.
And I now think maybe I was better off not being on the elevator with them.

When I am on with Cool Bongo Dandyroni, I tend to run around helping other toons with their tasks, I find it hard to say no, especially to toons on my friends list. It is kind of hard to go to toontown and actually try to work ona particular thing though, cause I usually have 3 or 4 toons calling for help at the same time.

So if you are ever needing help and see CBD running around, feel free to ask.

I've had that happen to be. It is really disappointing..... If you see Cool Kitty running around town just ask for help.... I always help toons when they ask.

This to used to bother me especially when you have been waiting for elevators in the DA's office or Cash Bot mint.
Mostly waiting for other toons for the DA's office. Someone is always helping a friend, and it does stink when you were the first one waiting and you had been waiting for awhile and you now have three toons and only need that fourth and don't you know 2 will come through the door and you know someone is going to be left behind. Never fails even waiting to go battle the CJ you'll be waiting for the last one or two people to show up and the next thing you know a group comes walking through the door. It used to really bother me, but now when I now its sure to happen I just walk away and let them go. That way I don't look like a crazy person yelling at the computer like my husband does. I always have to remind him that they can't hear him.
