I feel bad when a new to lawbot toon comes in and they are not up to the usual strategies of the way most play the DA's office. First battle on every floor is Sound. Battle before the elevators is anything goes, but do not use Sound. If by chance you happen to wake the virtual cogs, please do not use your fog horns.
If by chance you are one of the few toons that have everything except sound gags, I really feel for you. I haven't seen it happen for awhile, but some toons will not go in the elevator if you do not have sound gags. They will forgive not having toon-up gags before sound gags.
I hope this is helpful. I cringe when I see someone use a fog horn on the virtual cogs and I saw it twice today.
Maybe a useful tip going through the room with the stompers and lights.
I have the best luck approaching from the right side and right at the door I find it works best to pass next to the wall, not through the center.
As for the canisters that sit in the middle of the room. I by-pass unless there is one containing sound gags.
Yes, I love my sound

I agree, nothing makes me crazier than someone who triggers the holo cogs then chooses fog. In my opinion if you mess up the puzzle and have a lvl 7 gag you should use it. I always do if I mess up. Also at the guards before the elevators, people should not tnt the right cog. It always has a definate lure bonus so someone with organic cake can get it while one or 2 others tnt/piano/etc
Since recently I have been playing a toon that only has throw and squirt, no other gags. It is 120 laff and we are lvl 32 on all 3 suits. I really expected da's to be the most difficult. But I find people are more than willing to go with this toon. I can only count maybe 5 times it has caused a real issue. A few people have left da's after first skeles, a couple other people spent the entire da trying to kill us. But for the most part it rlly is not an issue. The strategy is a little differnt but the da's do not take much more time at all. 2 fogs and 1 ele on first 3 floors, the 3 fog on 4th floor. On the last 2 floors I use lvl 7s on skeles. I think more than anything it confuses people. Alot of people applaud, say hee hee, Nice Gag! etc. I would never refuse to da or mint or anything with a soundless toon.
It has definately been a learning experience and brings alot of fun and challenge back to the game.

I don't really care what people do. Some are little kids, and some just don't go to forums and know how they are "supposed" to do things according to the opinion of others. I'll admit that 99% of the time I am with friends, but I always go with the flow. It's more fun for everyone. And really, we each have our own ideas of what's best or easiest. I like mine best but you would probably cringe.

Nothing wrong with a soundless toon as long as they know how to play. Strategy in the DA is nice when you are in a D and need lots of notices but I'm with Lady Z - I go with the flow. I have finished several DA D offices lately with only one other toon. Between Disco's and toons who are stuck on the "right" way to play and ditch.
