Hey everyone! Still a little new to the site and I had a bit of an idea because I'm a very social kind of guy. I dont know much about forums, because frankly, they scare me and I dont work them very well.

What I am proposing is that maybe somewhere, maybe in my Sig or maybe in a certain forum is that I could maybe post a few recent friend codes around. In most cases for me its very important that I be able to communicate well with others, its almost like security for me. So to find other people I can actually say what I want with would be wonderful.

What I'm thinking is that maybe I can grab like 5 friend codes every few days and post them somewhere for people to see, and just continually update them. I was thinking since a Sig is easily updatable I could just go back and fix that up every few days.

But, if more people are interested in the idea I thought maybe I could set up a topic somewhere for people to post and upkeep some of their friend codes maybe to find help and offer their help to keep a nice balance. I feel that if this topic is not abused it could be a very wonderful thing.

Most forums I've ever seen has an option to update your posts. so what I figure instead of have a run of spammed post every few days, people just pick their post and update it when someone adds them or the timer runs out.

I tend to ramble, so I hope you understand what i'm proposing and am very open to suggestions. My main purpose for this post is to try and get people communicating in game a little better. I guess mainly because I'm just no good withthe speed chat. Tell me what you think please!

No, we don't like to post codes here. We would have to edit or ask you to edit them out of any posts you make. Codes should only be sent via PM here at TTF.

For one thing, most people here don't like to sf people without getting to "know" them a bit first. Either here on the forums through being active in posting, or going to TTF runs and working together first. SO you wouldn't get a lot of response here anyway from just posting the codes and not participating in the forums.

For another, the majority of this site's membership is adults and we are very concerned for internet safety. A code posted in the open can be grabbed by anyone, including a predator. Keep in mind that predators do not seem that way in the begiining; they seem nice to get to know you. I realize that sf codes are passed in many ways, but we choose to not have them posted in the open here.

Here is an excellent post on internet safety that is posted in our Welcome forum: http://www.toontownfriends.com/toontown-discussion3844.html

There are other sites which DO allow you to post codes. ToonTown Central is one of them www.toontowncentral.com . You can go there and post codes all you want. We do choose NOT to have that here.

Thanks for asking in advance, though! And welcome! Smile

Not really. Because then TTF won't be as safe.

Ok. Thank you for that. I suppose I did ask in a bit of haste. My problem is that I'm older then a child and am not an adult with children. I think Disney does a great thing with the speed chat and all, I just get incredibly frustrated sometimes.

I know there are bad people out there an thats why chatting is the way it is. But thanks. I'll try to be more active and try to find someone who can help me in the future, and feel free to call on me for help as well.
