Here's one I've always loved. Bryan Adams is my favorite romantic singer.
I think every girl dreams that their man will be their knight in shining armor,
and this song is just that...melts my heart!
This is one of my favorites when the sap in me comes out. I have others, but as you can tell (from my blog) that I am a Garth Brooks fan. This one is the most memorable. When I was a fat kid (still am), I would dream about stuff like this. But now that I am a husband, the song is more prevelant. Hope you enjoy it.
I just want to give quick props for this thread. I'm really enjoying it and looking forward to watching all of them later on when I have more time. It will be a miracle if I can add anything - my favorites tend to be a bit warped, but I will see what I can do.
This is one of the best videos/stories I have ever seen. It really inspires me and my husband. My son uses a communication device similar to Rick's, however, my son has autism, he does not have cerebral palsy. For more information about Rick and his Dad, go to www.teamhoyt.com. I hope you enjoy this video.

Thanks for posting this video. It made me cry, yet again! I posted this song twice in my blog, but have never saw the video of Rick and his Dad put to it. I have however seen them running their triathon before, what an encouragement his Dad is to anyone, special needs or not!! What love and devotion he has for his child. WOW!
Being a mom of a child that was born with a heart defect, I can relate to what he was saying in the beginning of the video. When we found out that Stevie would have to have open heart surgery, they had to give us the option of aborting the baby (state regulations, I think?). That just wasn't an option. Today, my Stevie is a vivacious 4 year old, although he does have a few other minor problems, it makes me cry to think that some people would have chosen the other option.
Rick's parents were told to put him in a home, can you imagine IF they had done that?!? Ohhh, wow, they would have missed out on their son's great accomplishments! (Not to mention that love story between father and son)
Ok, this video isn't the greatest (it was the 80's) but I love the song...this was played at our reception (remember Kari?).
Love that song Beth. Definitely a great song for a reception.
I don't remember the song being played at your reception. I do remember having a great time though. Dancing in my pretty blue bride's maid dress, with the dyed shoes to match. Still have the picture of Rich and I from your wedding. (Hot mamma back then...Heehee!)
I am really enjoying this thread and the "trip down memory lane." Just wanted to say thanks to all who are posting... Now if I can reach waaaaaayyyy back in my melon and remember how to put a link, I may post some of my own later on, lol...
As far as the "hug" video, it is one of my fave's, and yeah... I would have hugged him... Probably because I have an older brother who strongly resembles, (tree hugging hippie, born in the wrong era), that man and I would "assume" his heart was in the right place... Me and my kids are huggers by nature. I have to watch myself to not invade other people's bubbles... You know, the annoying type that touches others arms when stressing a point etc. But it is easy to see people who want no-touchy, so I just keep myself under control, lol. And I get the "personal space" too... Why do you think I get my mob to bed and stay up until the wee hours every night and short myself precious sleep? Yep... Need my personal space and time alone.
Anyway, keep the videos coming. I love 'em! "You guys are great!"
I couldn't find a good video for this one. It wasn't on Youtube, rats! Oh well, anyways, here are the lyrics for my family's all time favorite song: The Men in My Little Girl's Life.
OH! Here's a part of the song that is just awesome! After you click on the link and go to the webpage, click on the right of "The Men in My Little Girl's Life" to the sound button. I hope it will work for everyone. It really is a great song...
Here is a song that I rocked out too as a fat and lonely teenager. I had never seen the video before. So this is what I was missing on MTV huh? Despite the video, the song rocked to me. Still does.
Tommy, I LOVE Whitesnake. Was one that I rocked to as a teenager too! I can remember singing that one at the top of my lungs!! HEEHEE!!!!!! Good cruisin' song.
