Yes, you can catch ALL the fish with the Gold rod. However, the guide does say that some fish will be easier to catch with the earlier fishing rods.
My big toon has caught 68 fishies. It seems for most people that the last 2 take forever! And, the last 2 aren't always the same for everyone. For me, it one of the Grand Piano Tunas (I think the Grand itself, I know it is mostly found on Alto Ave) and the Grizzly Bear Acuda (grrrrr).

im stuck at 63.......mosly tires,cans & starfish.....grrrrrr.my good friend catched her biggie at her pond.. im tried......tires,cans & starfisnn thxs....DIZZYJBEAR
