Just a few questions for you seasoned Toons
View Single PostView Single Post

Hi. I'm new to Toontown and new here, so please bear with me if I post in the wrong places.

I just a have a couple of questions, I'm sure there will be many more to come.

Can anyone tell me how I can stick my Toon's face through the elevator in a building while it goes up. I've seen it done. Can I do it or is that a reward?

Also, is it possible for me to become 'true friends' with someone I have been playing with? I am a mom, so I really appreciate the safety features, I just wish I could say a few more things to the people I play with. Another chat question I have is how can I figure out what our true friend chat sode is? My husband and I want to add each other as true friends so we can chat but the password for our account is different than the true friend code. My kids are very young and don't have any friends who play just yet. (If you run up on Scooter Thunderklunk or Kitty Kittykat don't be too harsh and don't go into battle with them, they are 4)

One more quick one...how can I take a screen shot of TT?

I only have a 55 laff point, but I'd love to meet some more people to play with.

First Welcome to TTF! This is a great place to be, with lots of friendly toons.

The face sticking out of elevator- You need to be one of three or four toons in a bldg. You need to be one of the last ones on so you can be close the doors. Then do the "angry" emote.

True friends- to true friends someone, on the upper right hand of you "online toon friends" is a button that looks like a word bubble click on that. Click "Get a True Friend Code." and it will give you a group of letters, starting with TT. Type everything the way you see it, including the TT part. You might have your password set to something that doesn't allow you to True Friends. One of the great other toons can tell you how to fix that.

I am unsure if you meant you want to True Friend someone who is not a Real Life friend? Yes, there are ways to do that.

Have fun!

Thank you so much. The angry emote, eh?

Yes, I want to true friend someone that I do not know. Toon to toon, is this a bad idea? Judging from the hours this toon is on, I'd have to guess this person is an adult, but then again, maybe not. Maybe I'm not using the best judgement. It would just be so much easier if I could say 'Let's split up, call me when you find that building'. You know? I'm new to the game though, does communication get easier?

everyone here seems so nice, I'm so glad i went looking for others and I'm almost glad TT is down for maintenence.

Hello, and welcome.
1. Elevator: do as directed in last post
2. Secret Friends: Communication does get easier becasue you'll probabally be playing with older peolpe as the toons get better. As far as changing your settings, (I believe) you also go to the menu where you "Get a True Friend Code" and click on True Friend Settings, or something like that.
3. Take a Screenshot with the F9 key, and you can access the screenshots in your files.

Hope it helps, and have fun in TT!!!

You click on the true friend icon and get a code. Your hubby clicks on the icon and you read him the code... should start off as TT xxx xxx where x are numbers or letters. You can make SF in game thru 2 widely known tricks. "Use Speedchat" by using the first letter of each phrase used. Then there are pictures by going to someone's house and spelling it on the wall. Then there are websites to pass the code off too. Search for your friends name and they made be on a website somewhere.

Screen shots are done by using the F9 key.

If you need more details on either of these try to search for them here. I know there are more details...just don't have time to search for them...watching the grill Shocked

Welcome!
If you forgot your parent password, you may need to e-mail Disney and they will send it to you. They are very reassuring that *everyone forgets things occasionally* - hee hee.

I've made True Friends with random toons using both the Speedchat method (you need to hunt from some easy codes for this) and the wall method. There was only one toon that made me uncomfortable and they were later banned from Toontown. Otherwise, I have tons of people I've met that way and they are all generally nice (or stinky, which is better) toons!

I totally understand what you mean!! Laughing

However, i befriended a more expierenced toon and when she asked what toon task I was working on and I told her, she said:
"I'm going to go look for that." WHOO-HOO !!

I don't have that speed chat phrase yet, but I'm GONNA get it the first chance I get.
