Welcome!! Welcome!! Welcome!!

I don't know of any cut and dry ways to find the stores...just keep hunting, but maybe someone else here will have some suggestions. It's been so long since I was in TTC doing those tasks that I don't remember where any of the stores are either.

When I first starting playing I didn't reliaze that there were different streets. So, I just kept running up and down the same street looking for the shop. I know this sounds dumb, but I did! lol Just make sure you are on the right street, when you are on the playground of toontown central you will see 3 different tunnels w/the street names. Then it is just running around looking for it. Hope this helps!

Make sure you are on SillY Street. Go past the Head Quarters that are about mid way on every street. From there it is down two more lefts and a right. After you take the right it will be at the end before the next turn. Green sign with red letters.

Good luck.

First off.....

Howdy & Welcome to TTF and TT!

I run down the middle of the streets (dodging cogs) and look at the sides of the screens...they'll tell you the shops nearby and you can cover lots of ground. If you MUST have the Maps / Shop Locations then you can go to the Toon Town Guide on the TT website and get a copy of every street listing every shop.

Hi and welome-scroll to Toontown and Toontown Friends!!!

All great advice listed above, but please allow me to share with you, my LAZY advice. In RL, I need a map to get out of my driveway... I print directions on MapQuest and still manage to get lost... One time, I was trying to get back home from downtown/Twin Cities and didn't realize I was going the wrong way until I saw the "Wisconsin Welcomes You" sign... I live in Minnesota. Shocked So when I started TT, needless to say, finding buildings was an issue for me. So I printed cheat sheets from TT. Here's where to find them.

  • Go to Toontown sign in page.
  • Under the red "play" button, are places/things listed, click on Tips and Tricks.
  • Click on Players Guide.
  • Go down to 13.Neighborhoods and click.
  • Choose which neighborhood you are looking for. (Let's use Toontown Central, TTC, for this example)
  • Scroll down a bit and under a house shape w/Mickey ears, underlined it will say, "Click here to view Toontown Central Playground," click it.
  • Once you see the playground, click the desired street... VOILA! A map directory of the street and where each building is! Yay!

I did that for each street, printed them and stapled them all together, in order of playgrounds, so I could find any building with ease.

Also, you will end up getting tasks that have you searching for certain KINDS of cogs. (Sell, Cash, Law or Boss). I printed cheat sheets for that, so I knew which streets were more likely to have them. Those sheets are located:
  • Follow above directions until you've opened your chosen neighborhood.
  • Scroll down to the bottom of the page where you will see the words Back Next, with arrows and a cog gear in between the words. Click Next and it will show you pie graphs of which kind of cogs can be found on which streets.

Hope that helps. bhappy2

I know it is sending you to a different site... but I find toontask.com really helpful. They have a comprehensive step-by-step guide to all of those type of tasks, including maps that highlight the correct shops and everything. But, soon enough you will be a toon pro, and will be reading the names of the shops on the arrows as you run down the street, and you'll be able to find them by yourself in no time!

I just hope you are not like my daughter! She can't find a specific building to save her toonie life Smile
She always calls so I can come and guide her toon there. Maybe if you ask on the street, other toons will take pity on you and help you out! (Although the map idea is should be more certain!)

I love toontask.com for their guides. Heres a link to the maps: http://www.toontask.com/forum/index.php?autocom=toontask
If you click on the WIKI link, it gives you details about all the different tasks. It's very helpful when trying to select tasks that work well together.

Wecome to TT and to TTF Smile

I don't have much to add either. Queen Thunderthud had an excellent idea though (and if she doesn't mind I think I'm going to do the same thing!)

Although ToonTownCentral also has maps and such, along with the percentage of types of cogs found on each street.

Hope you enjoy it here! ^_^
