The other day in Cashbot HQ a new toon whispered "Can you help me?". She had a laff of 16 and said "Let's go to Toontown Central", then "Can you help me?" So, I figured that she had wandered to that spot and didn't have teleport back so I said "Follow me." When I got to Toontown Central the new toon and a high laff toon, 96 laff both popped up behind me to say "HA HA HA" and "You Stink". Yeah, okay. I didn't want to leave that new toon stranded and I figure they are just kids with too much time on their hands. Didn't really bother me, I just don't see how that is funny.

I also had another incident but I blame it on my son. He wanted me to battle the cogs in Lawbot Hq and I went into the factory with 3 other toons who just weren't playing right. everytime I said to my son that I was leaving and I was about to get sad, he'd say to me that I HAD to try anyway, how would I know if I didn't try, and he's four so I did have to stay with these toons. They refused to give me a toon up even though they all had gags and I was using my max sound. Then when it was finally over for me, the 2 of them that were left told me i stunk and laughed at me. I had a feeling they were up to no good when they refused to toon me up.

I've seen the term 'griefer' on the boards. These toons I dealt with are all griefers, right? As my laff point goes up does this behavior get worse because I never saw any until I had a decent laff point.

Now I want to run through that Lawbot factory but it's a pain to find anyone around. I had gone through 2 rooms with big lightbots, how big is that thing? I thought if I went in there I'd be done with way before that. I got pretty far considering I had no toon up.

I feel sorry for you. They had no rights to grief you. Here at TTF we have GREAT reasons to grief. Loopy Chunky Nuttydoodle agrees right( puppet of LCND nods yes).

The 4th toon decided he was going to greif my baby....boy did he have another thing coming to him. LOL

Do you mean the District Attorney's office in Lawbot HQ? I think that's very very hard to do by yourself unless you have lots of unites and sos cards. You are very brave. Very Happy Search under the forum Lawbot HQ and look for the info on how to do the DA's office. You'll see there are several floors that need to be finished before you are done.

I'm so sorry they were mean to you. They did sound like kids. Not very nice of them.

TTF Griefers on the other hand, grief each other in fun--especially when someone is maxing their suit in a boss fight--then the bike horns come out. Laughing
I hope you meet up with some helpful toons next time you do a DA's office. Good luck!

i've had that before, ttc toons are mean and when we get the " help a new toon defeat 50 cogs " i shudder but i take it anyway, could always use some more jellybeans, i had this task about a week ago and when i went in ttc, my computer kept freezing because their was so many ubers running around, anyway i found a 16 laff and helped her for a little while only to have her friend pop up and keep saying " you stink " i was like Confused and wittingly repiled " sorry i can't Smile "

we need so more witty catch pharses to throw at the ttc toons, their young minds might not understand but it would sure make me feel a bit better.

I hate it when that happens, it has happened to all of us at some point I think. It certainly gave new meaning to using the "your are awsome" phrase and such at the end of the battle when you dance.

Yep, the griefing that goes on here or with other friends is in jest and generally they are not going to let you go sad, if so...totally by accident. My griefing sadlly is usually on accident as I think I griefed loopy nicklegoose last night in the CFO (Sorry Lisa!). Have fun with it and chalk it up to kids being, well...um....kids!?! Though they aren't all that way because we have some great ones here at TTF!!!

For Law, you really have to hit one of the busy districts to get help. I don't believe you can solo even the shortest DA office as all the cogs are big and there are more than in a coin mint.

Griefers are not very fun to run across. I'm so glad that I more often run across decent toons that do their best.

Yes....they were griefing you. The term means "to cause others to have a negative experience in game".

There are toons who camp out in an area just so they can grief. There was a set of toons who would 'trap' toons in the trolley area if you TPed to them. They would wait for newer toons and whisper to them "Can You TP to me?"....and bam...they were stuck and would have to shut down the game. Or toons who would bring in low laff toons and do nothing but shuffle in an elevator...any elevator - Factory, Mints, VP.... You ran across another type of griefer where 2 toons team up against you to make you go sad or make you use your level 7 gags to prevent from going sad. Some will baby sound on large cogs to try to make lower laffs go sad since they feel you don't deserve to be in a certain area of the game (usually VP or factorys).

Some of the first posters were talking about 'fun griefing'. We use to have a normal run then a griefers run the next hour. It was done in the 'funest' way possible and to see if one could get to single digit laff point. Sometimes you go green...TU was usually done by doodling and/or feathers / megaphones. If you go for your 'key run' with TTF most will fun grief you and most expect it to be done to them.... I have been in a key run VP that lasted almost 2 hours....yes 2 hours. Shocked

Some find it hard to grief...it just isn't in their nature. It can be hard to get use to...

The worst (or best depending on which angle your looking at it from) was in CashBot HQs... I just ran in and tp'd to get across the station to go in a mint and someone was glitching above the train tracks so that when I tp'd to them I got struck by the train... I watched this for about 10 mins as toon after toon got ran over...
That wasnt very nice!

I am leary if you see 2 toon that are TF's and you go in anywhere with them LOL...I KNOW what we're saying LOL and I can just imagine what they are! Sometimes it is fun to see if you can FOIL the grief...sometimes I just leave...it's no fun for them when you don't react.

When they say you stink, reply back with You Did It. That probably works better with What's that Smell? but maybe they will get it.

I haven't had a huge problem with griefers at all. I had a run in once with a rabbit who kept saying she liked my shirt, she liked my shorts, she like my name...pretty much said the whole list of stuff following each phrase with "NO". I was a little hurt because I was wearing my 4th of July outfit and I thought I looked stunning angel4 ...(see picture to left..no not the angel ...further over)

I usually just play with my son and now that I've found ya'll...although I rarely make any of the runs.: But I do see quite a few of you at the TTC runs. Very Happy
