OK, so I was gone from TT for over a year, I returned to find all of these new wonderful things like: Golfing! (How fun is this? I love it!) New speedchat phrases! (Owoo! I am so happy! When I get, "We are gonna do this my way!" I will probably jump up and down in joy. And....you guessed it, BBHQ's.
I tried reading some posts on other forums to better my understanding and really came out more confused. The weird way they were wording posts really kinda talked in circles and confused me, so may I ask a few questions?
A) I love the mint things in BBHQ's! I love the puzzles and games, it is too fun in there! However, I read a few times that if I solve too many puzzles that I am detracting from the good of the team? Why can't I just play the game, what is that about?
B) I have read different peoples "strategy" of what gags to go into a Back Nine course with and they were talking about not gagging up completely, huh? Why is that? It's the longest run right? Why go in without all gags?
C) Can someone please give me a very condensed version, in laymans terms, of what a CEO battle actually consists of.
Thanks! Sorry if I sound like a moron but this stuff is all completely new to me.

Hi,
First welcome to the site. We have some friendly toons and people here.
The Back Nine question will have to be answered by someone else, my toons don't need it yet. It takes forever- 45 minutes.
The games- I'm guessing you are talking about the cog ball game? Some people get upset that toons get more gags from completing the puzzles first. I say, I'm more concerned about not losing those 20 points. Do what you feel comfortable with.
The CEO battle is actually fun. Tedious but fun. You start out battling endless cogs. They are all the V.2. Once you beat them. You have to go "wait" on the cogs. You take them their beverage 3 times in a row hopefully before the get mad. The cogs blow up after the 3rd time. Then you battle the cogs that are left at the table. Now, you will get a set of 4 golf balls and seltzer bottles. The golf balls are for slowing the CEO down. The seltzer is for damaging the CEO. When the CEO yells "Fore" jump off whatever you are on.
Just a short overview.

I can do letter C... Like all other boss battles, you enter in the elevator. You, like the other battles are split up into 2 groups of 4 toons (if you enter with . All of the cogs you fight here are version 2.0, which isn't necessarily fun. After you defeat all of these cogs, you steal their waiter cog disguises and enter a new room. In this room cogs are sitting around different tables. There are either Coorprate Raiders or Big Cheeses (pending on suit levels of the toons you entered with). You grab food from a conveyer belt (there are 2, located in 2 corners of the room), and give it to a cog. If you serve a cog 3 times in a row without it getting mad from going too long without food, it will explode. After the time limit on that is up, the CEO discovers that you are not cogs (that just ruins all the fun), and you fight whatever cogs you didn't explode. These are also version 2.0s. I may be wrong, but I think the Raiders are all lvl 11s and the Big Cheeses are all lvl 12s. After defeating these cogs, you fight the CEO. You can either hit golf balls at him to make him go slower (do not underestimate the importance of this), or squirt him with seltzer bottles on the table to do 2, 4, or 6 damage. Tip: if he yells "FORE", jump off the table/golf thing and stand still to avoid that attack. There is a way to recover health (be it not a good way, but still a way), and that would be by getting food off of the same conveyer belts you got the food from when feeding the cogs. The food will either heal 1, 2, 3, or 4 laff (yay, that's a lot compared to the 15+ damage he can do). Eventually (hopefully) he will finally lose and be demoted to a flunky (my personal favorite part). The reward, as you probably know, is a pink slip (or 2, also depending on the suit levels). With each slip you can fire any cog from battle.
Other toons: If there is anything I have forgotton, don't be afraid to tell me so I can add it. (Lol, must've typed this all while silly bubbles did her entry. I chose the long explination.)

Hey, thank you to both of you who answered! I actually understood those explanations. If the Back Nines takes 45+ mins. to complete I think I will be skipping those. I love the cog ball game and if depriving others of gags on a Front Three (which seems pretty short) is a problem, they probably did not come in fully gagged. So they already offended me first! Lol!

No problem, I would answer your other two, but to be honest, I've never actually done a Back 9. It doesn't make sense to not take all of your gags into the Back 9, either.

I plan to never enter the Back Nine for any reason. It just takes way too long, and you get more options (or about the same) in two Sixes for the same amount of time, from what I hear. I do not worry about the fastest way to do things in TT anyway. The fact is I just don't have long stretches of time to play a Back Nine. I also only go in with friends, so I'm not worried about the gags or the puzzles. I love Cog Ball and I love to play it as fast as I can. If we run out of fogs we'll just have to use other gags! Not the popular view, I know, so it's a good thing I go with my friends so I don't have to read rants about myself later.
I don't get how going in undergagged can help you get fogs in the Cog Ball...but I don't plan to ever really need that info anyway, so I don't really care!

The under gag thingy. I've never done this (yet) but I've been told......you do take your 6's of course and most of your other "normal" gags. The reason to go a little under is because you get a gag for each of the ball games you win. It goes from level 6 down. If you are full of 6's then it will give you a 5 etc. You hit the ball game thingy first after only 1 set of cogs and again after 3 sets etc. By going in short your odds increase you'll replace those important sound gags. If you don't win any fogs or elephants then you will run out of sound by the end (trust me you really don't want to be luring and throwing much during a 9)! Another hint is bring plenty of oogah's. 2 fogs/1 ele/1 oogah on 11's sure saves those elephants for the 10's. What most people do is leave off maybe 3 TU gags and a lure or 2 since you get TU when you complete either of the games so it's rarely needed. (plus the game seems to always give me TU! Grrrr) Lure also is rarely needed except maybe to TNT or something on the V.2's. (again...game likes to give me magnets and money) Did any of that make sense? Like I said it's not something I've tried but it made sense (sort of ) when it was told to me.
As for not doing what you can in the ball game for gags? I've only held back once and that was when I had 2 fogs left and a couple of elephants and knew the friend I was with and one of the randoms were out of sound. Gave then a shot at restocking. Normally I just do it and let the gags fall where they may. So far never been a problem with randoms. If a toon said something like "Let's use sound. Sorry I can't" and I had some then I would probably go slow and let them get in as many as they could. Granted if one griefed me about it.....well you can be sure I'd be hitting those balls as fast as I could That'll learn ya!
BTW the ball game has yet to give out a drop gag. Not sure if it's a bug or meant to be that way. Annoying as Piano's are a great way to clean up those V.2's.

Luckily, the friend I most often go with hates Cog Ball so I get to do it. Of course if a friend likes it too it's only proper to grief them by rushing.

Wow - I didn't know there was an issue with Cog Ball and winnning and I've been playing consistently . Usually, the wins are pretty spread out so it isn't much of an issue.
I haven't done the Back Nine. The Six is tedious enough! And! I have learned that throwing a Sound Unite is not always a great thing. Because of Cog Ball, you often don't have much room in your bag anyway. The one time I did it, I was out of fog and only got 2 from the Unite because I was at 78 gags total. What a bummer.
As to coming in loaded with and without certain gags - that is WAY too much thought for me to deal with

LOL me too! Too much thought! It's almost....MATH I just heard about it last week and like I said I've never done it. Maybe if I get on there today and try to get my thingys for tonight I'll leave off a few gags and see if it does anything wonderful I'm sure no matter what I took in there I'd end up with fruit pies, pixie dust and $10 bills anyway......
I had no idea there was an issue either really. I've only done 3 nines so far and each time nothing has ever been said. (and I've only been in with one friend and 2 randoms)

That's just crazy to come in short with gags...I'll bring what I need thanks!
I have done a Few Nines and have never had a problem with running out of gags, We had a similar discussion when BBHQ came out about the CEO and running out of gags...still hasn't happpened yet.
The HUGE drawback of the back 9 is disco...it does take so long that making it through with out getting diconnected is the HARdest part

SOMETIMES I'll slow down a bit and let others have a chance but it seems like most the times when I do that we all lose -20 if I see that others are not getting any at all then I feel like SOMEBODY needs to solve them lol...I always end up with 10 bamboo canes and seltzer bottles! I WISH you could win Pianos! The game is alot like ZUMA or the many other popcap games that are similar. There are similarities that help me anyway, like where to put what balls and clearing off "special" balls that give you another "special" ball.
That Pigs not so bad either

Same thing here I came back to play the game after one year, and I was so exited to go to BBHQ next thing I know I'm playing the Back Nines...After 40 min, I though something was wrong with the game... I'm not going back until absolutely neccesary....thanks for the explanation on the subject... I play mostly in the mornings, (that way I don't figh with my daughter for the computer)... hope to see you soon in TT
