Random questions for boss
View Single PostView Single Post

So, has anyone confirmed that a V2.0 cog counts as defeating just one cog?
I think that is how it works, but thought I'd check it out.

Does anyone else get mildly irritated when the 3 other toons won't stay in their assigned area during the Mole Stomp Smile?

Not sure about the cog count, I haven't thought of it really. I am still trying to figure out the best method for killing the V2 cog in one round, cake/drop seems to work the best is this true?

Mildly irritated, that cracks me up...but yes, I have a certain corner...the top right to be exact that I always go to and wait, but it would make sense if everyone would stay in there in own corners.

A V.2 is one cog.

It irritates me when toons won't leave an invisibly bounded area. Just sayin.

I've only failed to complete the mole stomp one time on a back nine and it was because we were chatting LOL It's another one of those things where I don't really care what the other toons do..."I'm kickin' some moles in the head"...and If I don't BLAB...they are all going down, with or without other toons help!

That takes the fun out of racing your friends to the moles or possibly knocking them into one so they go flying. Razz WHEE!!

AND occassionally when they come down they land on a red mole...so in some circles it could be considered "helping the team" to push your fellow toons into a brown mole! bteasing29

YES!! It really does bug me - sometimes I just hit a normal mole just to get the "lift" in spirits.

Beth, 2.0 cogs..... they take double the amount of damage to kill. Sooo if you hit a lvl 12 2.0 with 400 damage(say 4 bday cakes) you take out both cog and skele. Also, if you hit the 12 with say 220 damage you only need 120 to take out the skele. Of course, YOU have to have a group of toons who can do math... Shocked.

I have a tough enough time getting toons to use a pie with my wedding cake to get the bonus damage. Why they think a ele. trunk helps I will never understand but that is a whole other thread. Rolling Eyes

All I have to say is - Green Squares!!

In the short course, I don't understand why more toon groups don't use the 2 fogs/1 elephant to clear the 10s and then let a toon drop on the v2.0. That would just be one gag round. However, I don't see anyone attempting to use that strategy. Since in the cog ball game you generally get a fog or two, that shouldn't leave you too short for the course.

I hear ya, Sandra. But, I think that it is (with some) a lack of understanding of how the V2's work. rI remember trying to get suit parts for my wife's monkey. I was the only dropper in the group of 4. When I first attempted to use a drop, the following chat phrases were used "Let's Use Drop" "Ha Ha!". When 2 people chose fog and one chose ele, I quickly selected drop to show them what I was trying to do. Then their eyes opened and a "Cool!" promptly follows.

I will say that in the larger ones, it might not work as well. Trap and drop don't seem to be as much on the list of gags given out as sound, seltzer & blue mag.

I have to admit I get slightly irritated. I always stick to a corner, but I always go in w/randoms so not sure how they would react to pushing them into brown moles! but of course that would be part of the fun!

That's what I do. I'll get to pretty much any red mole because I stay in the middle until I see one, and then I run after it. If I know that we're going to win (when don't you?) I may have fun and take a ride on a few brown moles while yelling "Whee!". Laughing

Does it seem to anyone else that the women are more in favor of an orderly - each toon to their own area approach whereas the guys are more the 'see a mole, stomp a mole' mindset?? Smile
Methinks I see a trend!

Ok, time to break the trend. I also prefer (I have gotten over being irritated, just a game, right?) to watch your assigned area. More of a preference on the higher golf courses where the number of moles to stomp is greater and why have four toons trying to stomp the same red mole? Shocked

Badger Fan 4 Life :

Your question of "when don't you" brings about a need for a confession. I can remember being in a Cog Golf Course with a certain Blue Mouse (or was it a pink mouse..not that all mice look alike to me Laughing ) and a random 80 laffer. I believe it was the middle 6. All the random toon did was whine! If he/she was down 2 laff we were repeatedly bombarded with "I need a toon-up", "Let's use toon-up". I am usually quite tolerant of such, Rolling Eyes but my running partner was in a bad mood that day and mentioned a desire to see that toon green. Very Happy We came up with a plan and each time we got to the moles, we would just run into the brown moles and bounce around, and around, and around.. leaving the random to do ALL of the stomping. For those that don't know, (I didn't until then), if the timer runs out on the mole stomp, everyone gets a -20, a new shorter timer starts and you still have moles to stomp. Creatative griefing? or Evil Toons? We did not kill the random, they decided after a few levels, that they should leave. (Yes, we did use enough TU at times to make sure they would not go sad) *shakes head in shame, but feeling better having confessed* Very Happy

Confession IS good for the soul Smile
It is true that when you get into the bigger courses, the mole stomp is no longer a walk in the park!
So, better practice policing your area now!
Hey - I said *mildly* irritated, it isn't even as much ticked as I get when someone tries to turn all the things red instead of green in the DA office. Geesh!!

Creatative griefing?

Now that is TOO FUNNY! I'm going to remember that one for the next time I'm in there with SFs! I like to run two toons in the Front 3 to get suit parts on a baby while Rose is getting her "thingies." I tried that once in the Back 9 (bad plan) with two of me and one random (another random had discoed early on), but it's hard to do the longer mole courses with basically two stompers (at least one of my toons seems to spend a lot of time in the air). We got the -20 on several of the mole stomps (I'm sure that random thought he was with a couple of inept stompers!)

Yes. We feast on great yellow mole. No get red mole. No stomp red mole. Red mole taste stinky like brown mouse(Varmint(just kiddin). I'm too cool for the caveman style. Actually, this is how cool I am. (this is for elit uchiha wherever he is on (shudder) Runescape). I'm so cool that I wear short sleve shirts under long sleeve shirts under short sleeve shirts under long sleeve shirts!
