The Bermuda Triangle in the CEO
View Single PostView Single Post

It's happened to me once or twice before. I'm performing my waitress duties, feeding...what is it, motor oil?...to the cogs, and all of a sudden I lose 5 laff and I'm sort of "stuck" for a couple of seconds--can't move--and I'm wondering what just happened?

Last night I found the CEO Bermuda Triangle! A roughly triangle-shaped area of floor near the right-hand conveyor belt that has multiple "kill zones" where your toon will suddenly be stuck and you lose 5 laff (over and over if you don't get out of there, which is easier said than done--the only way I could "unfreeze" my toon was to walk backwards and hope I didn't get stuck in yet another "kill zone"). I lost 45 laff last night feeding the cogs at the table closest to the right-hand conveyor belt. The only way to avoid getting zapped was to make a huge detour around that section of floor. I saw toon after toon get zapped there.

Then, during the seltzer round, I found myself on that same table (closest to the right-hand conveyor belt), Mr. CEO yelled "fore," I jumped off and promptly lost 5 laff and found myself "stuck" again for a couple of seconds. The Bermuda Triangle was still active during the seltzer round!! What's next? Alien toon abductions? Is that what's really happening when toons mysteriously disappear during a CEO? And I always thought it was just mere discos!! Mr. Green

Been there! I know how it feels!

It has been there since before CEO came out on open. The testers complained. For a small time some testers could only do the "waitressing duties" walking backwards. I haven't CEO'd on open yet.

Have fun!

Did you do a CJ first? There is some speculation that it is phantom hits left over from the CJ. Weird. I always reboot after a CJ before I do a CEO just to avoid the problem.

Yes, that seems to be the issue. I forgot all about that and did a CEO after a CJ last night and did lose laff again. The only times that I have lost laff in the feeding round was after a CJ.

How interesting!! Yeah, a group of us came straight from a CJ to the CEO. So, what's that mean? The cogs in that CJ were extra mad? And kept throwing evidence at us from miles away in the Brrgh? Which evidence connected to my toon only when crossing the Bermuda Triangle at the CEO? You realize this is unquestionably tied up somehow in those manhole covers!! Hmmm, adds a whole new twist on the manhole conspiracy theory. HEH

Hee hee! Wondered why I had never seen it - apparently you have to CJ on occasion! I knew avoiding that fate would be good for me somehow Smile
