lure bonus?
View Single PostView Single Post

I've seen several toons that planted lure trees. What kind of bonus can lure get?

Tell that to the ubers lost by missed lure! Despite that, I must say that it is a pretty useless level 7 gag.

Sorry Bongo! I had the same dilemma one time...what gag track should I plant for my 7. I decided the ones that would kill 11's would be nice and the ones that are a little harder to earn back would be a good choice too. This leaves, in my opinion, Trap,Drop, and Throw as the best choices to plant.

My Ubers with Lure have organic Lure and it is worth it IMHO. Before Level 7 gags when we use to chew on the bark of trees for fun and liked it, lure use to miss a good it in the VP and send us ubers (the few ones around) packing to the PG. There wasn't the nice gags that are now avaiable to send a whole of 12s to the cog graveyard.... Bessie was used more as a last resort so it was steady going ...LLKR. Having 14 or 15 lures hit in a row was amazing back then... As you stated about "easy to earn back" gags...everyone uses throw and squirt (sound is a given)...Lure is a little harder to earn. I rather have a daily Presentation that can be used with any type of Toon that one that depends on others gags.

Train doesn't work if you are the only one with Lure Razz
The ship just doesn't hit.... Rolling Eyes
Throw killing 11s requires Lure.
Squirt killing 11s requires Lure and other squirt gag (Hose or higher I believe).
TU would be for pure enjoyment..most believe that is should act like a doodle and Heal All Toons (including the one who used it).
Sound is so easy to get that I sent in a 'bug / suggestion' stating that the amount of experience needed to earn back a level 7 gag should be proptional to its usage in the game...meaning that sound, throw and squirt should be at higher levels while Lure, Drop, Tu should be at lower levels.

I have had at one time all 7 different ones planted...had to since I'm a Tester Cool I no longer have TU but I have the rest of them still planted on various toons. They each have their place...

Teamwork is the best level 7 gag anyone can have Mr. Green

My toons are not ubers and I have planted org. lure. If a toon is orienteed - like mine - to lots of solo work, lure is invaluable. Don't sound a lured cog, right? maybe not. Sound hits a lured cog EVERY time. I haven't ever seen it otherwise. Want your gags to hit, lure em in (except for drop, of course). Org lure has a higher success rate, no matter the toon size. It's the easiest gag to max, and once lvl 4 and up is available, it can assist in the building of the other ones, even drop. How? Lure em all in, knock one back, then kill. Knock another and kill. Like that. I know there are disagreements over this. I personally LIKE my org lure.

Wow! I have to agree that planting lure would be a surprise to me. I can see some of the arguments, but I still like picking a boat every day Smile
