And just WHAT is wrong with coke??? Razz

LOL caffeine! You do NOT want to see the duck under the influence of caffeine!

I agree. That would be something that I'm not sure I'd ever want to see Shocked

I avoid drinks that are sweet or carbonated. Just what I have gotten used to and seems to be so much better on my hernia having non carbonated beverages. My vote is also for Sonic.. Unsweet Tea with cranberry juice in it. Yum!!

Might I add that the manager and carhops all know me by name. lol. The manager even gives me the employee discount when he takes the order. Very Happy

Wow! This debate is huge now!

I've asked people if they think Pepsi has the same taste as Coke. They said no. It is a little different.

I've tried both, and they taste exactly the same! What do you guys think?

Pepsi reminds me of my dad because he liked it and when he would go for one and they were gone he would say we sucked it all down. Heehee.

Definitely different flavors IMO. Mr. Green

I think they taste totally different. Coke has a little spice to it. Pepsi is over-sugary. I like Coke a lot better.

Try them both side by side some time and see if you still think they taste the same. I think there's a big difference. And there can be a big taste difference between fountain pop and canned/bottled pop (if you're somewhere that has good tap water, the fountain drinks will be better than canned/bottled. If you're somewhere with nasty tap water, the fountain drinks will be awful, even though the mix is right, etc.)

Okay I am not even going to get on the polls. I like Zen tea by starbucks. Or water. What is my problem? I can´t stand softdrinks. I tried really. Some natural fruit juices like welch´s 100 % grape juice. Yikes.

I can't stand most fountain drinks. I prefer them in glass. Although I do like the cherry limeade and some other drinks (an occasional ICE COLD coke in a glass bottle) I mostly drink water.

Whenever I'm thirsty and I'm in the need for liquid, I rush over to the faucet with my cup and drink that delicious tap water.

Wow...Coke vs Pepsi. Who remembers when they used to set up taste tests at malls? "Take the Pepsi challenge!"
Another favorite is Dr. Pepper. How many other soft drinks do you know of that contain prunes?

I personally prefer cherry limeades from Braums. Those are rare for us since it is a 2 hour drive to the nearest one. I do like the lime Coke from Sonic. Didn't know you could purchase ice there. I am going to have to do that.

I have to agree with you on Braums! But the closest one to us is a day away. Sad (Actually...I prefer the cherry limeade sherbet! Razz)

I wish there was a "Sonic" in my area, but there is not. Not only do their drinks look fabulous, but so does everything else! I do drink juice... And every now and then pop... But they are more like a "treat" and not what I consume daily. LOVE juices, but don't need the calories... Don't like carbonated beverages so much in the last 15 years. I get pop for my kids, but sorry, I am a mean mama and have switched to the COKE ZERO products. (No calories, carbs, sugar). LOTS of 100% juice on hand and gallons of milk always.

I'm a dork and no fun. My favorite beverages vary upon the season and time of day... Summer, ice water. I would prefer w/lemon, but am happy w/the basic ice and water if no lemon is on-hand. Unsweetened Ice tea. The lemon thingy, same as water.

When it is not 80 - 90 degrees, coffee... Gimmee my coffee! coffee I am known to have both ice water and coffee side by side, dragging them both around, while I get things done.

Late evening beverage? I also like that w/lemon. bteasing3

(BTW: Test Coke and Pepsi side by side, blind taste test, and you would be amazed at how distinct each one is).

Sonic all the way
View Single PostView Single Post

Definte fav is SONIC ice tea w/cranberry. Love the ice. We too have at least one bag in the freezer at all times. Here in sunny AZ we couldn't make it without the very environmentally unfriendly styrofoam cups. They can make a drink last all day! My dd loves the Ocean Water and my hubby takes his Diet Coke with lime. I would say we are there for happy hour at least 3 days a week since it is the hottest time of the day - only a SONIC addict would be out and about then.
